Our Italian friends raved about this place and my husband and I were excited to try it out ourselves!! The fact that the menu is ever changing and it is not printed, is romantic and indicates that the focus is on the freshness of the...ingredients and culinary experience. The couple who runs the place is delightful and clearly enthusiastic about their food which is quite contagious. After hearing all of the various choices for the courses, we asked the husband to pick for us and were quite impressed with the selection. The food was very delicious, extremely high-quality and had a beautiful presentation. The wine he suggested paired perfectly with the cuisine as well. We were pleasantly surprised at how reasonable such a high end dinner including wine came to be. We are thrilled to recommend this darling restaurant to other foodies and people with great taste. We will definitely return here when we visit again! Grazie!More

I come to the areas a few times out of the year. Santa Brigida is always a must do on my list. The restaurant is well kept, beautiful and quaint. He owners are lovely and passionate about food and it shows. Every meal is amazing...and leaves me wanting for more. The dishes are simple but excellently executed and prepared. The secret is the amazing quality ingredients from start to finish. You never know what's on the menu as they use the whatever fresh ingredients that are available that day. I've never we been disappointed or dissatisfied.More

I ate here a few weeks ago with my husband on a Sunday afternoon. We'd already been here with friends just over a year ago and we kept meaning to go back as we'd eaten very well. Unfortunately this time round we came away with...another sensation which was one of sheer disappointment. I just fail to understand why they can't print the menu with prices so I can clearly understand what I'm paying for and if I think it's worth it based on the size of the portion, the ingredients and the skills required to make the dish. We spent almost 80 euros as we were given a small discount due to a misunderstanding and I left quite hungry to be honest. My first course was very nice but the portion was miserable especially since I paid such a considerable amount for it. My husband's starter and pasta were very good but again unjustifiable prices. Then my second course of seabass which was cooked in boiling pan with herbs and served with two sad potatoes tasted more like hospital food. I understand it's a healthy choice and that seemed to be their selling point but I was utterly shocked to find it this dish cost 25 euros when presented with the bill. A baby could have eaten more. I also love simple dishes but if you're asking similar prices then you have to dress up your plate better. It just looked like a sad offering. The couple who run the place are very friendly and the location is nice but I surely won't be coming back as I just feel that I spent a small fortune for a very average meal. We had a litre of water and a glass of wine and no dessert but were offered a little canoncino at the end which was nice but I just felt stung by the hefty price tag.More

Absolutely wonderful experience and delicious authentic Italian meal. Very friendly and just what we needed after a long day on the road!

We went to this restaurant while visiting family in Calolziocorte. It was a great experience, with home style Italian cooking. I particularly liked the rabbit stew with mushroom risotto; my wife had the polenta with alcachoha. We were with a small child (2 years old),...whose culinary whims were satisfied entirely! The hosts were wonderful, taking time to explain the recipes, the wines and the dessert. The restaurant is very much oriented towards locals (no English menu available) and has a relaxed, friendly environment. Do take a look at the large table of pastas and desserts in the entrance hall.More
