Best Mushroom Bacon Swiss Burger I’ve EVER HAD

We visited Osaka for the Christmas Holiday and as we departed I wanted a burger to take with us. I searched google and located this place. I must say, the burger, chicken and pancakes were amazingly good! We took it to-go and the containers the food was placed in was perfect and kept until we boarded the Shinkansen. I’m impressed and will definitely do a repeat visit if ever in the area again.

Awesome hamburger and French fires. Highly recommended!

My only regret is that we didn't get to eat here more often! Rivals the hamburgers and French fries we eat in the US. We also ordered the chili-cheese fries and were really happy with the chili they put on it. We moved onto Tokyo during our trip but we are still talking about how we wish we could have it again before heading back to the US. Very highly recommended.

FANTASTIC Burger Experience!

Who would have thought that in Japan, the land of Ramen, Sake, and sushi, there would be a burger place that would remind you of being in the states. I have to admit this was a GREAT burger. The bun was soft and didn't weigh you down. The patty was equally as delicious. There was nothing about the burger that we did not like! They even had numerous other burger selections to chose from. Enjoy if you are in the area!

A decent burger

As a burger shop, you need to do the burger right. These guys got it right. The bun was nice, the meat was juicy. They didn't overload the burger with too many toppings. The fries were crispy and tasty but it was a really small serving. The rocket salad was just filler. Nothing special at all. It is around 1,500 yen for a burger set with a drink. A reasonable price for what you get. If I am in the neighborhood again, I will go back.

My best burger ever

I have had a lot of good burgers around the world, but the Wagyu Burger at Critters i will rate to my "best burger ever". Jucy, tasty and very well cooked, friendly and inviting staff. This is a "must to visit" restaurant in Osaka.

Overall, the burger was really good!

If you want to grab a hamburger. You're going to want to visit this place! Located at Ame-mura. The patty was juicy and perfectly cooked, nestled between a bun with a firm texture. It was good. Soft and juicy on the inside, and crispy on the outside.

Great burger place!

Great place for burger melas (also wagyu burger). They also have a vegetarian burger that we loved! Good service, tasty dishes and beers with decent prices. We went there 3 days in a row for lunch 🤭

Oasis in the Retail Desert

This is a small oasis in the midst of all of the retail chaos of Dotombori and Shinsaibasi. When you are up to “there” with sushi and Teppanyaki this joint satisfies. Staff is super pleasant and understands enough English to not make the experience stressful at all! The burgers are fantastic and the fries are wonderful. It is not an American offering, still feels like you are in Japan, a good thing. There are always lines but they take your order while standing so it moves quickly. Definitely worth the stop!

Best Burger in Asia!

Wow! I have been to Critters several times since Covid. Had to try it after seeing the reviews. It did not disappoint! Firstly don’t mess around, get the Wagu. Absolutely incredible cut of meat that was as good a burger as I have ever had. (That’s saying something from a Texan.) Succulent in every bite, perfectly cooked and well prepared. As I’m Keto for life I usually abstain from the bread. Got to admit, I eat the bun every visit here. Just can’t help it, it’s too darn tasty. (I actually eat a few of the fries as well.) Just a great place with the best burger in Asia. Very good service and English friendly as well. I will be there next month and every chance after that I get. It’s that good!

East meets west with a great outcome

We went to Critters Burger on our last night in Osaka. Unfortunately it was raining quite heavily so we didn’t want to stray too far from our hotel. After a bit of a search on Tripadvisor, we decided to give Critters Burgers a try. We did not regret it. As with many western based restaurants in Japan, the menu is familiar, but with a twist, which is always fun. In this case, the twist was the burger toppings. My partner chose avocado and egg, and I had Gorgonzola and bacon. The burgers were very well cooked with a lot of flavour and served with a side of fries/wedges. Portion sizes were decent and prices reasonable. To be honest, it is one of the best burgers I’ve had anywhere. The only issue was that the beer was too easy to drink, so I had to order another!! The staff were all friendly and attentive, without being overbearing If you fancy a change while in Osaka, you could do a lot worse than Critters Burger. Highly recommend

We came to critters based on the good reviews we read. The place is really nice and a good change from Japanese food. The hamburgers are OK, the bread is really good. The thing that disappointed me a bit was the portion sizes of the fries, tiny. The hamburger was ok, condiments were really good and fresh.

Great burger

I really enjoyed this meal. I ordered the wakyu borger with cheese and burger, and it tasted delicious. The prices are fair(1200+ JPY for a burger with fries). The wait time is short. The people working there are waiting to help you, with a smile. I rate this 5/5. The only "negative" is the worn out floor.

I am suprised how they did the burger good. I ate quite a lot of burgers around the world and definately I will remember this burger bar. I can honestly say that it is in top 5 burgers in my life that I have ever eaten.
