I was taken here by a Japanese friend who thinks it is one of the best Tonkatsu and Ebi-Fry restaurants in Tokyo, and I have to agree. It was absolutely delicious! I've been back here every time I go to Tokyo, as I love the...food, such good food and reasonably priced. There is usually a line up outside, but it doesn't last too long as people eat and move on fairly quickly. It's definitely worth the wait!More

Excellent pork dishes. Waited 30 minutes in the blazing July heat to get in just before they closed for the afternoon break. Worth it. Great food. Open kitchen. Quirky customers (the Japanese ones at least--we were a typical bunch of sunburned Americans).

We shared a tonkatsu don and a tonkatsu curry. Both were very tasty and the tonkatsu sauce was also very good. There was a bit of a queue but it moved quickly.

Our last meal of 12 days in Japan and what a way to finish. We got a cab from the Park Hyatt New York New York bar (of Lost in Translation fame) for about 1100 Yen and came here for the famed pork cutlet katsu....Packed upstairs so they showed us downstairs where we were served by the most charming and welcoming Japanese lady. Then the pork katsu’s turned up. A bowl of tender moist crispy crunchy delicious comfort food, and only about ¥1000 each. I think the Taxi & two bowls of Katsu was less than two cocktails at the Park Hyatt. I know that any Katsu I eat from now on will come a distant 2nd to Oroji’s. Don’t miss it whatever you do.More

Thank you to the family and team at Oroji for having us to dinner tonight. It was the best pork we've ever tasted. We're still talking about it a day later.... We are traveling around Tokyo at the moment and we are always tempted to...try the food where there are Japanese people queuing to get in. This place is very much worth the wait. Great friendly service even for the English speakers.More

The tonkatsu set is inexpensive, taste excellent, definitely the best I have tried, very crispy outside and juicy inside. Small shop, cash only.

You need to be patient as they only start cooking your dish once you sit down and order it, but worth the 30 minute wait. I've had a lot of Donkatsu in my life, but this was a first in the way they prep, cook...and serve it. The miso soup they serve as an accompaniment to the Donkatsu set is amazing (you can taste that they just fried the onions and bacon before adding the soup). Don't forget to get some local Asahi beer to wash it down. Can't wait to go back.More
