This is a restaurant where most of the dishes come prepared ready for you to cook on the gas grill on the table. We arrived around 8pm on a Wednesday and were able to get the last free table at that time, but the turnover...is fairly quick so I guess we would not have had to wait too long otherwise. Once seated you order using a tablet at the table which I noticed had been well disinfected, along with the table, condiments etc while they were setting the table. The tablet had options for English and some Asian languages. We opted for prawn skewers (5) and a whole squid, along with a crab & miso cold dish, chilli bamboo shoots and a sea grape salad, downed with a beer and a red wine (nice but slightly grape juice-y according to MrsExPunk). While not speaking much English (why should they) the staff were very helpful in explaining timings for the grilling. The quality of the seafood was excellent and prompted us to order another round of prawns plus a plate of what I can only describe as fish fritters - strips of white fish dipped in a light egg batter. Everything was very tasty and the whole bill came to about ¥6000. The place had a great feel - very lively and fun, and was mostly filled with Japanese patrons.More

We had a full day of going around Tokyo and was only able to take our dinner at about 10:30pm. Most restaurants were closed or closing, so this was one of the few choices left. The restaurant was packed and there were some customers who...laid slumped on the table, drunk. But they were not a menace in any way. I guess it comes with the timing that we chose to have our dinner. We did enjoy our food and as it’s our last night in Japan, we tried various seafood dishes and they did not disappoint. Food wise, 4 over 5. As for customer service, indeed they could have done better. Most of the time, they looked rushed and it was not easy getting their attention. Customer service wise, 2 over 5.More

the food portion was quite pathetic. (just look at the picture on the menu compared to what was served) terrible serving size staff wasn’t helpful when we had difficulty ordering using the tablet. when there was an extra order on the order list, we asked...the staff if she could help us cancel but she kept saying no. This particular staff wasn’t helpful and didn’t even seem to try to help. not worth your money and time eating here!!!More

Despite the initial allure of the place, the waitress serving us was quite possibly the rudest Japanese lady we had ever met, far beyond any conceivable level of abhorrent behaviour one could imagine. She was incredibly hostile and supercilious, and screwed up our order (ordering...one of our dishes twice) before telling us that we could not cancel the order. The food was passable, albeit rendered distasteful due to the horrendous service. All in all, this is the place where bad waitresses go after they die.More

We were looking forward to trying out this izakaya type chain on our last night in Tokyo and what a mistake it was. Honestly, this place is horrible and we had a server who was extremely rude and disrespectful towards us. Whenever we asked a...question she would provide us an explanation with an attitude and also talk to us like we’re idiots. The whole conversation was in Japanese as I understand and speak the language. This place is very discriminatory towards foreigners. We noticed that she would provide hand towels to locals immediately but not provide it to others. We didn’t get ours until I asked and the table next to ours who were tourists as well didn’t get theirs.Tokyo is an amazing city with great customer service. I can’t say that’s the case this restaurant. I have been to this city numerous times and never encountered this before. I would suggest to go to torikizoku nearby instead of this place to save yourself from the horrible treatment that we ended up receiving.More

Didn't plan to have dinner here, turns out a good experience. Cooked our own calamari and scallops. Interesting deco too. Lovely!

We stumbled upon this place after we decided not to stay at another restaurant. This place was inexpensive and had very good food. You can't go wrong with the tuna bowl or probably any of the Japanese food here. The tuna steak was an outstanding...value. The menu is in English and you order on a tablet, so it is very tourist-friendly. You can also call the waiter from the table when you need.More

well known seafood restaurant for tourists (I guess for local people too). Fresh seafood, good quality. Menu is available in both Japanese and English, 24 hrs available. Kani miso is the best!

Most travellers who collect some travel informations will know 24hrs seafood restaurant : Isomaru Suisan. Menu in English with photo & price of food is helpful to order food in course or a la carte or bbq. All foods are fresh and tasty with reasonable...price. Although everyone likes different dish but there are kani misos on tables. For thai customers, do not forget to take seafood seasoning in the restaurant and have kani miso with hot rice.More

We ate here at night, on suggestion from the owner of our ryokan. It’s a classic ikazaya specialized in seafood, open 24/7. You can grill seafood by yourself...delicious and funny at the same time. Have a try!

Walked pass this along the street. Small setting but crowded during the lunch time, like those small Japanese restaurants the locals frequent. Had 2 rice bowls and BBQ the squids, scallops and crab. I find the food good and will go back if I walked...pass again. It will be better if the staff are able to communicate in English.More

The food is nice. Seafood is fresh and nice restaurant environment. However never thought of the staff will show us a black face when we enter the shop with our luggage and waiting us at the staircase inpatient while we putting our luggage beside. Will...never come here again and strongly not recommend this restaurant.More
