We had dinner at the Furnace Creek Dining Room which was a buffet for $27 each. It was not too great. The choices were limited and the food was low average. The salad bar and the desserts were the best part of the meal.

The restaurant has some of the best service I've ever experienced. The food is very good but very, very expensive in my opinion. We had several breakfasts, lunch and dinners during our stay.

We went to the Inn at Furnace Creek Dining Room for a birthday dinner last week. Upon checking in for our reservation, I got a death stare from the hostess which was not welcoming at all for our first time there. It felt like we were imposing rather than them making us feel comfortable. The website says to wear proper... More

We thought the food here was very good. The views and the setting are wonderful, so that helps, but we were happy with the food as well.

We ate here twice in our Death Valley Stay, the Coloradan lamb was some of the best I have tasted the tortilla soup had a moreish piquancy, the steak was good and did not disappoint . The staff were really good, Jim picking his way through the wine list for us, and all in most helpful. For us the best... More

My husband and I had 2 dinners here and both were good in terms of food quality, service, and nice view of the mountains. The resort was fully booked, but the service did not suffer at all. The cheesecake dessert was great!

The first thing you want to know about the Inn at Furnace Creek Dining Room is that you absolutely want to be eating here rather than down the street at the buffet in the Ranch at Furnace Creek where we stayed. If you must eat there, focus on foods that clearly have been served out of cans or boxes (think... More

The group at my dinner had problems ordering, it was a Sunday night and one person had to order 3 different items as they were out of the first two. My first choice wasn't available and so I ended up with the Rib Eye, which was good. Dinner service is a bit long, or at least for my table. The... More

A bad windstorm had blown through Death Valley during the day, causing sporadic power outages in Furnace Creek. We had made reservations at the Inn Dining Room the day before (because Xanterra had arbitrarily shut down two of the restaurants at the Resort) and we called twice to make sure that they were still serving dinner. They assured us that... More

When we made our reservations to stay a few days at Furnace Creek, we asked if we needed reservations for dinner at the Inn. They said to make them when we got there. Big Mistake! We were there two nights and they were completely booked. Even people we met that were staying at the Inn could not get in. We... More
