I briefly mentioned this restaurant in my review of the hotel, but I thought I should call it out separately, especially since other reviewers seem to have reviewed it separately. We had breakfasts and dinners at the restaurant, and they did very well. The New Year's Eve dinner was fabulous. My son said the lobster-truffle mac&cheese that came as a... More

I finally found a place that served salad in Death Valley that was not just iceberg lettuce or a Cesar salad . It was mixed greens. That made me happy ! It was dark inside and busy, but the foods I saw others order seemed ok.

After getting a few cold ones we talked to our bartender about where to eat. He suggested Toll Road. I was expecting diner food but we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food.

We spent 3 nights in Stovepipe Wells Village (where this restaurant is located) and ate there for all 3 dinners and 2 breakfasts. Had something different for dinner each time and all 3 were really good, definitely better than average. My wife had the same dining experience. There is not a huge menu but covers the basics with fish, chicken,... More

When you stay in Death Valley at one of the lodges you are a captive audience to their restaurant. I know some people complain about food in National Parks but we had the opposite experience here. We really liked our food. Our first meal was dinner and we had a yummy shrimp and linguine with a cream sauce and spices.... More

I have been coming here for over 20 years. The place has gone through a couple of management changes, but much remains the same. The food and service here can be spotty especially if someone didn't come in for their shift. . Some menu items are good - some not so much. The breakfast in the morning can be dry... More

Good but certainly not great. The first night there I had the mushroom pasta. Was OK but I was surprised to learn that they had no marinara/red sauce to bring to the table. Without something to add some flavor, it was kinda bland. Second night the restaurant was so full with a long waiting line we gave up and took... More

You are in the middle of nowhere here so the food was pretty good - service was slow but they were very busy - no where else to go. We ate here a couple times and would go back.

This restaurant suffers from a lack of competition. While I wasn’t expecting fine dining in Death Valley it was still disappointing. We were waiting to be seated for dining for over 10 minutes, while a number of staff walked passed us without even acknowledging us. You can perhaps excuse that if the restaurant was full but there were only five... More
