We stopped here on our drive out. Quick service and excellent coffee. I had an Americano and the coconut coffee cake. Definitely would like to come back to try some of their hot breakfast options.

You order and then fight for a spot to sit. The food was good. My son loved their biscuits and gravy. I had the breakfast sandwich and it was ample. The donut babies were delicious, but were large donut holes-about 5- large enough for a...More

I love the vibe and the location. I have worked in Denali for several years and the best part is spending time drinking coffee and eating a gluten free jam cookie.

Stopped in for a couple of cups of coffee and pastries. You are nicely treated at the door - the display cases are chock full of sinfully caloric pastries. In particular, the berry oat bar and buckwheat brownies were great. The latte and cappachino with...More

Wonderful. Eggs and bacon were perfectly prepared and the cinnamon roll was amazing and large enough to b shared. Coffee very tasty especially after the motel/hotel choices.

Description
The Black Bear is the place to go for hand crafted, delicious food. Voted BEST CAFE IN ALASKA by Food Network, we proudly stand behind all that we do.

Black Bear serves brunch every day until 3pm with delicious offerings such as biscuits & gravy, benedicts and classic egg breakfasts, BBQ pulled pork sandwiches on house brioche, burgers (both beefy and vegan) and our famous smoked gouda mac & cheese. Dinner offers something for everyone, from our vegan gluten-free coconut curry to wild Copper River coho salmon, braised short ribs and fresh handmade pasta with locally foraged morels. We love to find the best local and seasonal Alaskan products and bring them to the people.

We offer a full espresso bar, crafting locally roasted SteamDot coffee, as well as shakes and fresh fruit smoothies. You can expect fresh pastries coming out of our in-house bakery throughout the day (some vegan, gluten-free too). And our deli case is always full of quick grab and go items to take on your adventures. If you're coming off a busy day, just grab a local beer or glass of wine to enjoy while you linger on our deck, breathe deep and take in the mountains.

Black Bear offers something for everyone, whether you are on an indulgent dream vacation, or keeping on the healthy side. Locals love us, and you will too.
