We knew we were going to be at the Grand Canyon for our anniversary so I made reservations as soon as I could about a month in advance it was a perfect place for our special dinner. We were able to walk there from the Bright Angle. The waiter was Good and so was the food a night I'll always... More

We ate here two nights during our stay and enjoyed both meals. I'd have to say that our first meal with Jose was much better than our next night mostly due to service levels. The second server (John maybe?) was ill prepared and way less attentive. He did not even bother to ramble off the specials. We had to ask.... More

This may very well be the most expensive place on the south rim, but it's also the best food. We went for breakfast and received not only great service, but wonderful food. I highly recommend the eggs benedict! Really, though, whatever you eat will be incredible. I didn't like their special, which was the eggs benedict with crab cakes (I... More

The El Tovar menu is the most expensive option at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. We opted for lunch as a party of six. We were seated in the back room of the dining area, which was fine because that's were the view is. All members of the party were pleased with their choices which ranged from soup,... More

I reserved our table a month in advance for this momentous occasion! I had made the reservation for 7pm but that day, realized that was a bit late for us. I called and they were able to move our time up to 5:40 which was perfect! We were then seated at a table that looked out towards the Canyon. It... More

My husband and I had dinner here before we hiked into the canyon. Staff was attentive and pleasant. Portions are generous. Menu has many selections from which to choose. My husband loved his filet, which was tender and juicy. I had the seafood special (haddock) and it was delicious. Salad greens are fresh. My Caprese salad was fantastic. House wine... More

Overall it's just Average, and with the HIGH prices for the food it offers, eat OUTSIDE of park, in town just South of park. Is it sad that a family or 4-5, if they don't bring their own food into the park, will get hit with a BIG $$$ food bill to eat inside the park. There is nothing to... More

We did not eat in the hotel, instead we had room service for 3 days. Every meal, breakfast and dinner was outstanding. I did not think they were overly costly.

As part of a tour we were on, breakfast was included for us. Food was good and so was the service. It's a historic building so that was neat too.

This is tough because it's not like there are a TON of dinner options within the park, and if you want a classic/historic lodge experience, then El Tovar is it. That being said, the food was just okay and the service was pretty flat. I've had much better meals in my life, but it was fun to say we dined... More
