Consider yourself lucky if you are one of the few people who get here! Very tasty food and best part is the staff.

It is the one place in the canyon, so you pay too much and don’t complain. We were hiking rim to rim over 2 days, so getting a reservation saved carrying food and stove. (Plus it would have been difficult to cook on our own...More

We anticipated this for 13 months and got a reservation for the 7 of us in our family! Phantom Ranch is special just because of the history, the people you might meet in the bunkhouse or at dinner, or in the canteen. Everyone is just...More

Great place and when not used for dining, this area serves as a retiring place allowing families to play board games, relax with a drink or coffee or tea !

If you live for electronic devices, tv, and social media, this is not the place for you. But for those of us who enjoy quiet, nature, and history, it's Heaven. The bunkhouses (five bunk beds) each have a bathroom with shower, and the beds are...More

Beside camp, cabins or dorms are only accommodation for overnight stayers. Very basic but clean and comfortable. At the end of a long hike to the Colorado river and the Ranch, you are grateful for any type of a roof over your head. Food was...More

The only way to the dinner table is a walk down to the Canyon bottom or a mule ride. I walked, had dinner with 50 new friends and three old ones. The feeling of comraderie and profound pride in your dinner cohorts was inspiring. The...More

Phantom Ranch is a camp with restaurant for Grand Canyon hikers. You must hike down or ride a mule to get down to it.

I think that's right . . . except I remember there being special times when you could use the credit card. The establishment seemed to prefer cash.
