The Trail Ridge Store is worth the time to stop and have a look. You can order a sandwich or hot chocolate in the snack bar and enjoy a beautiful view at the same time.....

But it was the view from the big picture window that made it all worthwhile. There is seating in front of the window where we ate our hotdogs and looked down into the valley way below where a large herd of Elk were hanging around the watering hole.

We were cold after a high-altitude hike with hail showers, and stopped in to warm up with a hot chocolate. It worked, and didn't empty my wallet! In fact, it was good value -- you'd likely pay more in Estes Park.

We visit here every time we go to Estes Park and Grand Lake, which is almost every year. If we do not pack a lunch we eat at the Trail Ridge Snack Bar. This is the only place to eat on Trail Ridge Road. They have good chili, hot dogs, hamburgers, etc. Getting a table can sometimes be a little... More

This is a nice little store to grab a light lunch, use the bathroom, stretch your legs, and enjoy your trip over Trail Ridge Road much more.

This is the only place to eat in Rocky Mountain National Park (except for a few scattered vending machines.) I had the chili and it was delicious, very meaty. When we came by the next day, I had to order myself another bowl. My son had a cheeseburger one day and a hot dog the other--said they were nothing special.... More

nice gift shop, decent snacks, but pricey. wonderful views. take a jacket, it is cold. drink plenty of water to avoid altitude sickness. if you are afraid of winding mountains roads, don't go.

This is a good place to stop, take a break, check out the visitor's center, and the snack bar is decent too. Food appeared good and not too overpriced. Views are also amazing. It doe get crowded quickly.
