Visited the Bulls Head on Easter Sunday with a party of 6 adults and four children. The food was very good with generous portions. The children were well catered for too. I would certainly visit again if in the area!

Excellent lunch at the Bull's Head today. Well kept beer and good pub food. You won't come away feeling hungry.

Our friends have visited the pub before, but not us. We weren't disappointed. We ate in the dining room. The music was a little loud at first, but I asked for this to be turned down. The food arrived piping hot & the service was excellent.

Our cottage owners recommended this pub, so we went to give it a try. The food was typical pub fayre, I had liver & onions and my wife had the gammon, both of which were OK, but nothing special. the desserts were a bit sickly, but again OK. This is probably one of the better pubs in the area, so... More

I've been here too many times to mention, from the early 1980's to now, The food is very good, reasonably priced and the atmosphere is very relaxed. There is a small pool room, open fires when the weather demands it and hikers and dogs are welcomed with open arms. This isn't a fake kind of pub; the locals use it... More

A very useful place for a game of cards and a pint while camping nearby. The reception on both Saturday and Sunday evenings was very friendly for the whole family, including teenager and dog. Food portions are absolutely huge and filling. We couldn't finish our meals. The quality of the food, however, is not especially good, just reasonable pub grub.... More

Friendly Landlord. Felt like a Local Pub. Had main meals of Barnsley chop and Salmon fillet. Both were delicious with ample vegetables and chips/potatoes. The menu offered a good choice (available on website) with a specials board. Had a fine pint of local beer and a glass of merlot.

Have been for lunch a few times and food has always been very fresh and tasty. Even simple sandwiches come with a vibrant salad. Helpful friendly staff and warm village feel to this pub.

Pretty much agree with Kevindia's review. The village and the pub's location are great. It seems the place is being renovated and it's obviously very popular being a "proper pub" as well as an eating place. However, the food was a bit of a let down despite the large portions commented on by others and emphasis on local suppliers on... More
