I've just had a read through some of the recent reviews and it sounds like we got lucky but we actually enjoyed all 3 dinners at this restaurant. The food was really good and also quite quick. We do tend to order quite safely though and didn't try anything too exotic. Getting service to sit at a table is probably... More

We ate at Captain Andy's once during our trip after the first place we tried to go to was closed for a private function. We have mixed feelings about this restaurant. The service is very slow and it took ages for our drinks to come. When they did finally arrive we really didn't like the passionfruit mojitos we ordered. They... More

We were staying at the Rarotongan resort which wasn't all that bad but the restaurant is another story. First night there was about five other couples waiting on food and drinks. There was no service available, after waiting about 15 minutes we placed an order at bar and took our seats to be disgusted with a mouldy table cloth, dirty salt... More

If you expekt some kind of service, fresh food and a lovely evening don't go here. This is a place where you wait 60min for your drinks and food, you'll need to pick up the menu card yourself etc.

Woeful on the first night of our stay. Lost revenue for next 9 days of our stay. 6 adults 8 children Potentially 2 meals each per day You guys can do your own maths how much money that first impression cost you. Over priced Poor quality Zero atmosphere Didn't give them another chance until final night when we ordered fajitas... More

I had read the reviews for this 'restaurant' and wasn't keen to eat there. We only went because it was our last night and our entire family was going. I ordered the seafood mixed grill. Big mistake. Firstly, it was just three kebabs with more green peppers and onion than seafood. If I'd have known it was seafood kebabs I... More

Despite a friend of ours saying this place wasn't the best, we tried it anyway and ended up regretting it. Over priced, sticky surfaces and very poor service cemented the disappointment that was nailed home with well below average food. The pizza was doughy, the kids steamed fishy was rubbery and the seafood platter was appalling...we didnt even eat it... More

Food was tasty, but no matter how much you asked for the tuna steak to be rare it never happened. Took 3 staff members asking for the drinks order to get it to us. After 20 minutes.

We were staying at the Rarotongan and decided to try out the in resort restaurant. We were seated in one of the huts which was a novelty factor for the kids. Service was average overall, and we had to wait for 45 mins for our dessert to come. Food was ok, my meat feast pizza was sadly lacking in meat,... More

We booked a table for 4 to be seated outside in a hut and then was told that we hadn't reserved a hut and had to be seated in the walkway. Our food took over an hour and the female singer (although fab) was glaringly too loud. When we got our food it was cold! Then when asked if we... More
