We went to this place on the recommendation of a sales lady at the harbour. Excellent, large cappucino satisfied my coffee craving. It wasn't a cruise day, so the place was empty. Prices are a little high but that's in line with other places. And wth, it's a vacation! Enjoy!

Visited on a cruise 2017 and loved this little place! Don't do coffee so can't comment on that, but the rum cocktail, oh yes!! Great value in comparison to all the other islands, offers on beer buckets in a gorgeous setting, great service.
Visited again Jan 18, made this our first stop after a trip. Same fantastic drinks, a great vibe and as it was new year some youngsters (assume owners children) were working too. Credit to their parents! Super little pair taking orders and serving us. This place is perfect to sit and watch the world go by before you head back to a ship, and is close enough if you are brave enough to ask for a local rum on the rocks! Heading back Jan 19, and I doubt I will drink coffee, but this is the first place we will go for beer and rum. Well done guys you do your island proud!

I just wanted a nice coffee to enjoy while I'm reading and this place was great. Right on the water, but in the shade. Not cheap, but it's a prime location and coffee was nice. Staff were great, but no one is in a rush, so just relax and enjoy your time here. That's the way to do it.

We really enjoyed their chocolate milkshakes and the cafe is situated in nice location so people watching is good fun but at US$8 for each shake their aren’t cheap.
The cafe will provide ‘free’ WiFi if you spend US$5 but the speeds are incredibly slow so I would recommend you go elsewhere if WiFi is the key purpose of your visit.

We found H,J. 2 Go while strolling on the boardwalk in St John after returning from a tour. It was early afternoon and we decided it was too hot for java, but just right to have a cold beer. The 2 for $6 sign caught our eye. They had a nice little sitting area outside with a view of the Quay. Lola, our waitress was a friendly lady with a ready smile and the beer was cold, all we could ask.

My husband and I spent 10 days in Antigua in September. I am a Starbucks junkie back in US and so I enjoy a latte every day. So during those ten days we went there several times. The first time we went there the prices was $20 US for TWO large lattes. High priced but no surprise for any island. On another visit the price was $8.00US for one latte. The next couple of times the prices were again not consistent even though we always ordered the same drink. It is important to note that the cruise ships were NOT in port when the prices were about $10US each. The last time we went there, two cruise ships were just coming in and suddenly the price raised to $20.00US for ONE latte the exact same drink I always ordered. So I asked the lady who made the coffee if they raised the prices when the cruise ships are in port and she said no it was $20US because it was a large when each time we ordered the lattes they were always large. The coffee is decent the customer service was lousy, and the staff there acted like they were doing you a favor making and serving the coffee. There was a guy who was always outside in the mornings who was delightful and the exact opposite of the staff at the place. They should hire him and dump the rest. Beware of this place with all the price changes - it is a rip off and a scam.

Hi Deb D thanks for your review, I am sorry that you did not have a pleasant experience at Heavenly Java 2 Go.
I am not sure if the prices was quoted to you in US$ or EC$. the cost for a large latte is $7US or 18EC and a Large Flavored Latte is 8US or 20EC . A menu is available at the coffee shop with the prices in both US and EC equivalent.
Again I apologize for the misunderstanding with the prices that was given to you, and would like when you come back on the island to stop by and have 2 Large Latte on the shop.
thanks again your review

My husband and I were in St. John's for the day on our cruise. We were walking around town, when it started pouring rain! We found Heavenly Java 2 Go, and decided it was time to camp out for a while. We initially went there for the shelter and the wifi, but we are so happy we found it. We got their vanilla frappucinos, and they were delicious and reasonably priced. It took a while to get our drinks, but they were worth the wait!

Lovely place for a coffee watching the boats/cruise ships and the local dark rum cake was amazing. The service was great and very friendly and we really enjoyed the whole experience.

There are no Grande, Venti or Trenta cup sizes, once you taste the coffee, you will realise that you don't really need them. If you want a great cup of coffee and island ambiance in a homey nook over looking the Caribbean Sea, then Heavenly Java 2 go is a must stop on your list of vacation spots to be. Heavenly Java 2 go provides atmosphere and service to boot, with coffee roasted and blended by the owner herself. She boasts an awesome coffee brand, Java Roast 2 go, and a wide selection of drinks from Cafe Americano to expresso shots and Frappes. Heavenly Java 2 go will not disappoint. Make sure to take a break, stop by the shop, buy a drink and enjoy the scenery in between shopping in St. John's!

Need a fresh roasted coffee in Antigua well look no more Java to go is Antigua's number coffee shop. Their number one customer service is commendable and the coffee is fresh and brewed by its local owner! So looking a hot cup of coffee and a place to relax and online services make Java to Go your number one stop!

After wandering around St John's cruise ship port area for a while we began looking for a Starbucks to buy some coffee. We were unsuccessful, so we asked a local where we might find one. He said there was none, but he directed us to a coffee shop on Redcliffe Quay. He said it was Antigua's Starbucks. We found Heavenly Java 2 Go right at the base of our ship's pier. It consisted of a small inside shop with a few stools at a service counter and an outside patio with tables, shaded by trees. It was hot, so we chose to stay inside.
There was the whole range of specialty coffees: cappuccino, café latte, espresso, macchiato and more. You could also get various tea drinks, soft drinks, smoothies and unlike Starbucks, you could get beer and a variety of alcoholic concoctions. I got a Diet Coke and my wife got a Latte which she said was very good. We weren't hungry, but the shop also offered paninis and pastries.
What most impressed us about Java 2 Go was the friendliness of the owner, who worked behind the counter, and her staff. We chatted with the owner as she filled orders and she was happy to talk with us. As we were leaving we paid in US dollars, but I asked if she would sell me some of the local currency, the Eastern Caribbean Dollar, for my foreign currency collection. She gladly took the time to rummage through a purse of EC coins to find me one of every coin denomination.
We had a very pleasant experience at Heavenly Java 2 Go, and we recommend that cruise passengers keep an eye out for it at the end of the pier on Redcliffe Quay.
