These guys can cook. Really wonderful curry gravy easily 5 star. We had generously portioned, mild chicken tikka masala and spicy butter chicken with a few garlic Nan breads, sliced raw onion and lime slices.
We only had bottled water with the food as there’s no sugar free coke which is often the way it is in the 3rd world as its not as long life as the over sugared stuff and for all its scruffy looking banks it has many folks dirt poor.
They add a 10% service charge so I added more money to boost the tip. We still paid well under £40 for the best - tasting Indian food I’ve had in a long time. It was funny as they separately added a few extra pence to the bill as I’d used a credit card. I suppose every penny counts.
All the staff real friendly. I went into the kitchen to think the chef. The only downside was it took a long time to deliver the food but the place was packed with cruise ship staff.
I’m not marking this place down as it is what it is where it is: WiFi was lousy, air con barely effective, toilets sort of almost, nearly ok.
Really worth trying but do have a good hour to spare.

We have been to this location several times. The service, selection and quality of the food is consistently great. The staff is mostly family, know the menu well, willing to direct you to a meal you will enjoy. Levels of spices are listed on the menu and you can adjust them up or down as you prefer. The Naan breads are a fabulous appetizer. I had the Chettinad Chicken, $15. My wife had the Paneer Tiki Masala, $14. They have a beer and wine selection. Our total tab was $40.47. We will be back

Brilliant food and snacks.
Stopped for samosa and bhajia and was also recommended by locals and other shop keepers.
Chef Raju bhai is a great host and well travelled.
I wish I had more time.

I love Indian food and was thrilled to find this small restaurant serving some of the best dishes I have ever tasted. The vegetable samosas were outstanding, but then so was the channa masala, vegetable roti, and chicken roti. The spices lingered in my palate long into the afternoon. Ah...

We happened into this restaurant in St John’s and were blown away. The Chana masala, vegetable samosa, and roti were probably the best I’ve ever had — and I’ve been to India!! Service was friendly and attentive. We even ordered delivery from this restaurant later in the week because the food was so good.

Having travelled around the world with work and ending up in A&B being my birthday we all decided to order an Indian takeaway, this one being recommended by some of the locals.
Making contact with the restaurant was easy and the gentleman was very polite. Placing an order for five people with all of the sides too.
The food arrived on the delivery time as arranged. The driver extremely friendly. The price very, very reasonable.
The food quality when sat around the table was very nice and still piping hot. What more could you ask for.
I would thoroughly recommend this place, 5 stars for service and 5 stars for quality of food.

Excellent service, excellent food! Very nice place, located centrally but without too much of the fuss or traffic. Shopping fairly close. Prices aren't bad for the quality

Never had a favorite cuisine till now; because of New Taste of India, I'm in love with Indian food. New Taste of India gives a friendly approach in serving their customers, already I almost felt as though I made new friends. I've eaten there a few times actually, and the food is always on point. If I should advise anyone what to try first, it would be the Samosa.

I have been to this restaurant a few times now and the food never ceases to satisfy. I recommend the Butter Chicken which you can have as spicy or as mild as you want. Just tell them when you order what your preference is. It is well worth a visit and you can get food to take away too. Their combo plates are very affordable and their basmati rice is cooked to absolute perfection. Seriously, my mouth is watering as I write this.

Best tasting Indian food on the island. We had the lollipop chicken, butter chicken and the mutton masala. Everything was bursting with flavor!!!!!

I placed an order for delivery to my hotel room. The service was really fast, polite and inexpensive (I'm not so sure for locals, but in USD). I was very satisfied and I will definitely be coming back on my visit next week. Maybe I will dine in this time.

love that is so far away from the commercial street and the service is spot on they serve you and that's it :) if you are looking for a local culinary experience this is the place to go also they have complementary WiFi, and also local drinks a full service local style

Raju serves great Indian food and is very friendly. we walked all around town trying to choose where to eat between the over priced cruise-tourist places and the cheaper places where we had been disappointed or which were inexplicably closed. this was the solution! reasonable prices and good quality dishes with a more complex and subtle flavour than local roti etc. the rice was a decent portion size too. some Indian people visiting Antigua chose to eat here and enjoyed it.Raju is multi lingual and plans to rename the resto The New Taste of India
