I was wandering around downtown Oranjestad at noon and stopped in here for lunch. The servers were very nice and took my order promptly. I had the catch of the day which happened to be Mahi-mahi, it was quite good and served with a creole sauce, rice, fries, coleslaw and a fried plantain. I thought the cost at $25 with... More

What a nice little place to dine and enjoy some of the local fresh seafood. The restaurant is small & gets very crowded real fast. I must admit, it is a little pricey. The only thing we were disappointed in was the service. We would return in the future.

After visiting Eagle Beach, we went to The Old Fisherman based on the bus drivers recommendation. He 'steered' us in the right direction. The seafood was incredibly fresh and tasty. My wife had mahi served with a creamy garlic sauce. It may have been the best mahi I have ever tasted. I had the mixed seafood grill which included mahi,... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. We all had fresh fish, grouper, sword fish, monk fish, and the biggest avocado we ever seen which was part of a shrimp appetizer. The staff was very friendly, and Dino was very helpful and engaging. We got a great meal at a good value and we highly recommend you give them... More

We enjoyed our meals. I had a salad which was ok and my friend had the salmon which he enjoyed. The atmosphere was good and the service was great.

We have eaten at the Old Fisherman three times while travelling with Holland America. Would have been four, but they are closed on Sunday. Fish is fresh, and local. People who live in Aruba made up most of the patrons. Our go to place when in Aruba. See you next year!

My husband is always looking for good seafood at every Caribbean port we visit. The man at Monkey Joe's souvenir shop recommended this restaurant. The catch of the day was kingfish steak. He really liked the fish and rice, while I ate the rest of the sides-- fries, Cole slaw, fried plantain, and corn bread. Excellent slaw. The "cornbread" tasted... More

We visited on the suggestion of a local. What a gem of a place. It is not far from the Ship dock and local flea market. We got the mahi fish fried and it was nothing short of mouth watering good. We also had the local cornbread-Oh My GOD delicious!!!! I had the Aruba Frosti drink which was really good... More

This restaurant was recommended by the security guard on the dock, so we took her suggestion and tried the Old Fisherman. We were delighted with the freshness of the seafood and with the fast and friendly service. The portions were generous, and the prices were mid-range. If we ever get to Aruba again, we'll head straight to the Old Fisherman!
