From the time this restaurant opened, we have never visited the island without dining at Barefoot. Over the years this has become our “go to” restaurant- food and service are consistently wonderful. Have never had an experience here less than 5 stars; same with sister...More

My fiancé and I had the most amazing experience at Barefoot! We made reservations ahead of time and were seated right away. The service was exceptional. We ordered the mushrooms and escargot, and the gazpacho as appetizers. Both were amazing. For our entrees I ordered...More

What a wonderful dinner. The restaurant is located near the airport and cost us $17US to take a taxi there from Palm Beach. As you drive up the building doesn't look like much from the outside but step through the door and it is lovely....More

This place was amazing! From appetizers to dessert. Hands down a must on your list if you are visiting Aruba. I recommend this restaurant over the flying fish bone. I cannot express how AMAZING everything was.

We were lucky enough to get a reservation at Barefoot for our last night in Aruba. Been many times to Aruba but never tried Barefoot. Glad we did! From the moment we sat down to the time we left we just enjoyed our dinner and...More

Had heard great things about this restaurant and were happy to hear it is owned by Quinta del Carmen, another of our favorites. Although it’s a beautiful setting, food was just “ok” and the bar next door had loud music pumping from its patrons who...More

This restaurant, smack dab on the beach near the airport, has both indoor seating and directly-on-the-beach tablecloth covered tables. One can sink his/her toes right into the sand while enjoying the closeness of the ocean, the warm breezes, and the magnificent cuisine. A full-service bar...More

The comments on the food were mixed with some loving their meals and others saying it was ok, but you simply can’t beat the ambiance. We had a table right by the water’s edge. It was night time and the water gently lapped at our...More

The truth is, I ate here a week ago and I don’t remember what I had, so it wasn’t terribly awful and it wasn’t amazingly good, but I remember that it was better than average and I left satisfied and would return. I also remember...More

We dined at the Barefoot Restaurant in October. I don't know how Aruba celebrates the New Year but, dining on the beach with my wife (best friend too) and warm sand between my toes sounds about perfect.

Aruba is all about the fabulous beaches during the day, and the many great restaurants at night. It is only logical that these two unique things of Aruba are combined into one! Luc & Gerco found the perfect spot to synergize great food, and a beautiful setting to create an experience almost unique on our island. When listening to the ocean caressing the shore, while wiggling your toes through the pearly white sand, why not let yourself be pampered by a gourmet dinner? Chef Gerco & Maitre d' Luc had a shared dream of opening up a restaurant here, but wanted something in line with what they enjoy on Aruba: the nearly perfect climate, the possibility to always be outside, the tropical feel... When opening their restaurant, they had these ideas in their heads, and it worked like a charm! Tables under a large palapa on a wooden deck with a view of the ocean, or outside under the Aruban nights sky, on the pristine beach... An original menu was created by Gerco and team, with some of the old school favorites as well as locally influenced dishes. With the help of the local wine suppliers, Luc made an extensive wine list, with wines from all over the world, and is always ready to pair a wine with your dinner. The experienced service team is friendly yet professional, ready to wow you from the moment you walk in, to make a fabulous evening into a great memory on Aruba!
