One of the busier, slightly cheaper spots to visit this amazing beach if you want food, lounges and umbrellas. Salesmen seem to be shouting constantly about tours so it is rarely restful. Get there early for a lounge by the water and to make sure you get an umbrella. Best turtle feeding is in the morning and is just off... More

The deal they have at Boatyard is great. For $50 you get back $40 at the bar for food/drinks. They are beds, lounge chairs, music playing all day, a volleyball net, rope swing, trampoline and iceberg. They also recently added an excursion to swim with the turtles which is so worth it. If you have a day, then this is... More

We visited the Boatyard 4 times during the fortnight we were staying in Barbados. Pay 50 Barbadian dollars and get 40 back to spend on food and drink and get a sun lounger each and a parasol. The food is good and the drinks are great. The beach is lovely. The family went swimming with turtles, jumped off the rope... More

Wonderful opportunity to swim, sunbathe and enjoy the traditional rum punch all within a 10 minute stroll from centre of town. After a day of activity or inactivity you can enjoy freshly cooked food as well as a full selection of drinks. The music is typical of the area. Lots of raggae

Although not idyllic compared to some other Caribbean Islands Bays, It was a well run and organised venue, providing good value for money.and a nice break from a cruise ship. They provide a complimentary drink, sunbed and umbrella, water sports and a trip to snorkel with turtles, topped off with free mini bus transport to teh ship, all fro $20... More

We paid 50 BD each for a day package which included 40 BD being put on a card for refreshments. So with a total of 80 BD I thought that we had enough for one meal between us and a couple of drinks - wrong. When the barman asked for a further 35 BD I asked him to cancel the... More

My wife and I just finished scuba diving and were looking for a place to have a margarita and sit by the sea. Our dive guide took us to the Boatyard and told the maitre d' that we came to get a good margarita. I also mentioned that we were looking forward to their margarita and she seemed to acknowledge... Every time we visit Barbados we go to the boatyard and even arrange group get togethers there. This year's visit, disappointing. The price has gone up to $50 no problem because $40 goes towards drinks and food. However, $40 doesn't really cover much; the food prices have gone up, drinks are twice the price of anywhere else on the island... More
