This is a government operated restaurant, which means, you will be served by a public servent. The place is nicely set, great atmosphere, food is cheap (on average half of what is charged at private restaurants) but just ok, but the downside is the service. Make sure you order all at once. They do not like to serve you exception... More

Best place we ate in Cuba, we came back after the first time because it was so good. The prices were great, three of us ate meals with drinks and desserts for under 40.

Agree with Renecc85. we went to this restaurant for dinner with 7 people and although the place looked nice from the outside the meal was the worst meal I had in Havana. The waiter was bullish in attitude (same person Renecc85 described I expect) we asked for an extra chair to be placed at the table and you thought you... More

Don't be fooled by this place. It's an overpriced tourist trap. The outside menu doesn't reflect what they offer inside. Once you sit, they'll push you to select the expensive "daily specials" which are as much as two or three times the price as anything on the outside menu. My family and I were looking through the menu and they... More

Came here for lunch a couple of weeks ago as part of a private tour (where lunch was included). The front part of the restaurant is nicely laid out and decorated, but, although we had already sat down, we were asked to move to the back of the restaurant, which was not so attractive (presuming this is because we were... My mom, grand-daughter, and I ate dinner here, and loved the atmosphere! Service was prompt and courteous; food was beautifully served and very good. I got chicken curry and enjoyed it very much!

We liked this small cafe so much we went back twice. It was nice and clean with very fairly priced food and drink. A little confusing on what was available, as impossible to have a cheese sandwich ( on both visits) as no bread for a cheese sandwich, but you could have a ham and cheese sandwich or a cheese... On our last night in Havana, we stopped here to have one final grilled Lobster! It was a very busy, so we were lucky to get a table, and with live music. Lobster was nice and a good size, but not the best we had in Cuba – maybe this place is too focused on quantity and not quality. It... More

Lovely little find! Such a beautiful setting, food was very good (for Cuba) and set at a decent price. The lady waitress we had was very good, but we did have a gentlman one who didn't seem very happy to be there and was not very helpful so a little let down by him. I will agree with others that... Food is just ok, nothing extra ordinary. But the ambiance is good. and located right in the center of the old havana.
