I have eaten here a few times and all have been a very good experience. The owner is Swedish married to a Cuban. My favorite entree is the eggplant (aubergine), I had most of the appetizers and enjoyed them all during my visits. Service is very good and attentive. I strongly recommend this privately owned restaurant (as compared to state... More

If you're in Havana, swing by Casa Miglis. They have a variety of options for everybody. It's located in a non-tourist location, but the food is fantastic. Try to come here before 7-8 pm (even on a weekday). It tends to get crowded with visitors and locals.

Casa Miglis surprised me in many ways. First the fact that you can find a good Swedish restaurant in Cuba is random and awesome. Second, the fact that it not only served some of the best Swedish meatballs I have ever had, but also had amazing live music, and a great ambiance was downright amazing. I recommend Casa Miglis as... Casa Miglis is beautiful and the menu, a refreshing break from the "standard" rice and beans found in most restaurants (government owned) and Paladars (privately owned) in Cuba. The decor is lovely-A cross between "simple"/sophisticated Skandi (the owners are Swedish!) and 1940's Cuba. We visited twice during our two week trip because we were so impressed with our first evening... More

Recently arrived, hungry and tired Café Miglis was a jewel to discover. Seated beneath a moose in a frame - a warm welcome for a Canadian! - this is an elegant restaurant w/ eclectic art and a sensuously decorated alcove/stage for live music. Food is very good, consistent, staff were pleasant if not a little stand-offish (I had been painting... More

We checked into our airbnb which was 2 blocks from Casa Miglis. Wait staff were friendly and attentive. Food was well prepared and the perfect start for our week in Havana. We were seated at a window table with a great breeze. We ate fish stew, an eggplant dish, a chicken dish, appetizers and deserts. All the food was wonderful.... More

The food is ok! The atmosphere is absolutely OK! The operation is OK! I have been at the restaurant at least 8 times and when you claim to be among others a Swedish restaurant and music is played, so I did not hear any music from Sweden or with Swedish singer / band. BR/Max La comida está bien! El ambiente... More

When you are in Havanna you simply have to visit this restaurant, not typically Cuban at all, more typically Swedish. With so many furnishings detalls so typical of Sweden. The food is delicious and well prepared, always with fresh ingredients. If you like fish dishes you simply have to taste the very fresh Tropiical ceviche as a starter, followed up... More

We were lucky enough to get a table without a reservation, which was a huge relief as we'd been looking for somewhere for what seemed like an eternity! Casa Miglis is in wonderful Centro, not far from the Malecon. Great service, pleasant atmosphere (there was a band playing in the back room), and inventive menu fusing Cuban and Swedish. We... More
