We lived on the island for a year from 2008-2009 at the apartments just behind the then named "Hooks Hut", which is now Pirates Bay. The food hasn't changed in quality in 9 years and as Leonardo DiCaprio said in Blood Diamond 'TIA', remember TIC = This is Curacao. slow island type service since the Dutch don't tip.

We ate here three times during Spring Break, You can eat right on the beach. The food was good and reasonable. WE also ate at Tomatoes Pizza at this same location and it was awesome.

We took a taxi from our cruise ship terminal since we had planned to go on the Aquafari diving experience. Having lounge chairs on this beach was included in our admission price. There wasn't much here besides a beach and restaurant a few places to stay around the corner. It was fine to lay out while we were waiting for... More

It is a very small beach, and there were some broken beer bottles in the sand. It's a problem that's been going on for some time, as a lot of the glass pieces were polished by the water. Luckily they are green, and easy to spot, but you definitely need to look where you step if not wearing water shoes.... More

Our favorite place to eat. The food was good, reasonably priced and it's a no shoe kinda place. A GREAT place for kids to stick their feet in the water while parents are eating. Varied menu and just an easy place to be.

We went to the Pirates Cove twice last week. There's a nice little beach there with tables and chairs set up and it's a fantastic place to watch the sunset. We went once for dinner and once just for drinks. Pirates Cove has a big, extensive menu and the food is pretty good and reasonably priced. The drinks are good... More

We had just returned from a full day excursion and the Captain recommended this spot for a bite to eat. The menu stated dinner started at 530 pm. It was 545pm. We asked if we could order after waiting 15 minutes without any service dispite catching 3 employees eye to eye contact. I don't wish to drag this out, even... More

We were in Curacao on vacation and our concierge recommended Pirate Bay for a casual family meal. Our taxi dropped us off before we knew there was a private event going on and the entire restaurant was rented out. The manager and staff went out of their way to find us a table and make us feel welcome. The drinks... More
