Pat'e Palo is located in Cuidad Colonial and is one of the best, if not the best, restaurant in the area. the dining experience is very good and the location in a 17th century house adds a lot to the experience. highly recommended.

One of the best place to dine out in Santo Domingo. Good food and value for the money. Located in the Spain square across from the Christopher Colonbus house.

We had lunch at Pat’e Palo and really enjoyed it. It was pricey but the food - particularly the meat dishes - was delicious. We enjoyed eating at the oldest tavern in the Americas!

The food is one of the best if not the best on the Colonial Zone. A little expensive. You should try several plates and eat a little of everything. Two environments: one inside with air conditioning in a XVI century construction and modern decoration and...More

Went to the restaurant thinking it was French, but, it wasn’t. It was a potpourri of different dishes. The ambience outside was festive with a view to the large Plaza connecting to Christopher Columbus ‘ Summer Home. The appetizer of sautéed mushrooms w/ salmon &...More

People generally prefer to be outside for the beautiful view to the plaza and Alcázar de Colón, but we have indoor tables also. Let me know where would you prefer and your name and last name for the reservation.

It is not required. You can come and wait a couple of minutes at the bar if there isnt any table available at the time. But preferably you can make your reservation in case you don't want to wait.

It might be a creation by the chef at Pat'e Palo as Ropa Vieja is Cuban. The restaurant's food is fusion style.
