Our best dinner over Xmas week. Great menu that pleased young and older adults. Ambitious but well executed. Great vibe and lived up to the hype. Very good service.

We have eaten here multiple times. Service was never a strong suit but the food is good and the ambience great. However, service has recently taken an ugly turn. Three hours to get entrees is absurd. The manger not coming over until it was time...to pay the bill isn’t how a high end restaurant should handle service lapses. Don’t go until you see a string of positive service reviews that follow this. Suspect you won’t.More
Wonderful restaurant, friendly staff, beautiful view and fabulous food. We loved it so much we ate there twice in one week. We had salads that were large enough to share, steaks that were cooked to perfection, pizza, and pasta with clams. Don’t miss the bread...out on the bread with brown butter and also served with oil and cheese. You will not be disappointed!More
This is a great restaurant with a great atmosphere. We went to SBG to celebrate my sisters birthday in February. We reserved a table on the back balcony. Everything was perfect. All the dishes were good, wine was amazing, staff is very friendly and helpful,...we really enjoyed our night. Would definitely recommend it!More
Five of us had a very bad experience. Four of the five main courses were not edible - three Osso Buco Risott’s and one shredded duck. The steak was over cooked but flavor good. Service below par. Price - $550.00 pp+ Cash tip Very loud...and we will never return even though their Santo Domingo restaurant is our favoriteMore
We were a party of 6. Toddler, teen, and 4 adults. We ordered the crispy spicy shrimp which was probably my favorite of the night. The miso Chilean sea bass was a favorite and cooked perfectly. I will warn you, it’s a strong flavor and...if you don’t like miso, you will not like this. The fried rice that came with it was a perfect pairing. My dad had the cheese wheel pasta, a fun dish wear they toss your pasta in a big cheese bowl. The salmon was delish as well, a great fish option especially if you don’t like miso. It tasted fresh and flavored well. Our server recommended it. Our server, Adriano D. was super friendly and attentive. He went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of, even our toddler! We tried an array of desserts: Majarete (very cool presentation), bread pudding, chocolate mousse dish, and the hot cookie pot. The hot cookie pot won! I would skip all the other desserts. Our server said his favorite is the bread pudding but to us it lacked flavor and a sweetness. The portions are bigger so they are shareable.More
I made a reservation on the 18 of November and I got it confirmed in a specific location y the restaurant personnel. Once I arrived they where super rude, they did not respect what anything. They had me waiting for 1 hour and a half...because they were going to get me a table. Once they tried to sit me they sent me over the the worst corner. It has been one of my worst experience in Casa de Campo! Please avoid any experience with the personnel.More
Visiting from NY with the family, made a reservation August 1st. The reservation line is one of the most unorganized services I have experienced in my life. My 18 person reservation was not found on the day of my HUSBANDS 40th Birthday and they did...absolutely nothing to accommodate us nor even apologized for mishandling this. I had been contacted days earlier to confirm this and when I showed up with my family, nothing was found. Whomever is picking up the phone at SBG Casa De Campo should be fired. One of the rudest I have encountered and couldn’t have made my day worse. My husbands 40th birthday dinner- ruined. We were looking forward to this being that we loved the experiences we’ve had in the other SBG’s. This was AWFUL.More
SBG currently is one of the two restaurants outside the Casa de Campo tentacles that is very popular with the nuevo riche Dominicans .It is normally jammed full and is, in my opinion, a place where it is impossible to relax. Having said that ,...the food is very good but not imaginative because the Dominicans tend to be wary of spices and sauces and the service is good. For many people it is a good fun place to eat and to be seen at . The very numerous meals that I have had there have been ok but I can not cope with the crowd.More
We were recommended this restaurant by our villa owner. The reviews are great but unfortunately our experience was terrible. We were a family table of 5, sat indoors in the main part of the restaurant. We had 3 very large tables sat around us (12...plus on each) We were sat first but got overlooked while one of the larger tables got served. We were finally offered menus after 20 minutes. We finally ordered our drinks and food at the same time, after another 30 minutes. My daughter wanted the sea bass but was told it wasn’t available. The waiter then suggested the special, which she went for. We ordered a bottle of white wine. 15 mins later a member of bar staff came to our table and told us the wine wasn’t available. He then suggested an alternative, without showing us the wine list, which we went for(which turned out to be 3 times more expensive then the bottle we had ordered). He then returned and poured us 2 glasses, then leaving the bottle on the side said he would go and get some ice and a bucket. 20 minutes later the bottle was still sat on the side. We managed to finally draw our waiters attention to it and he apologised and got a bucket and ice. Our food came out one by one, my daughters being the last out, 10 mins after everyone else’s. The food was very nice. We ordered more water and 2 soft drinks when our food came out, they never arrived. Finally getting our waiters attention after our mains had been eaten, we asked for the bill and told him the service had been terrible but not sure our English was understood. Service 2/10 food 7/10 value 0/10 We’ve eaten in many fine dining restaurants, this came nowhere near what we were expecting. And ignore the dress code, everyone else does! Shorts, flip flops, all good.More
The journey to SBG from the hotel is well worth it (give yourself ample time to catch a shuttle and then the golf cart transfer to the end of the marina where the restaurant is; from shuttle in lobby to the restaurant is about 20...minutes total so long as you don't have to wait for the shuttle or the cart). Our server, Ariel, was absolutely wonderful. He was so attentive and accommodating and gave us excellent recommendations. The menu is really interesting, offering sushi, pizza, seafood, pasta, etc. The sushi was top notch, super fresh (I had tuna with jalapeno sauce, recommended by Ariel). The butter served with the bread there is unique and you just have to try it for yourself, it's so good. The risotto I ordered (another of Ariel's recommendations) was delicious. The setting is so beautiful and special and the interior decor is so chic. Truly one of the most gorgeous restaurants I have been to.More
The shrimp and pasta was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and highly recommend going. The views are gorgeous.
Everything was great. Branzino the best. Sushi was great for appetizers. Excellent service!! Dulce de Leche bread pudding the best.
Have eaten here a number of times. Food is always good and for the most part was excellent. The service was a solid 8. Appetizers were top notch all around. The shrimp bowl outstanding and everyone loved the octopus. The lone disappointment was the Tomahawk...steak. I’ve had them twice before and they were excellent. This visit wasn’t the same. We ordered 2 medium rare for the table and they came out raw. That’s not the worst as undercooked is better than overcooked. When they came back out we dug in but, the meat was so chewy that your jaw got sore! Good taste but sooooo tough. In a sign of good management they took one of the Tomahawks off the bill and our desserts as well. I wouldn’t hesitate to return but beware of ordering the Tomahawk again.More
We ate here three times during this visit and the food, service, & views are simply world class. Bravo.
