You pick your own fish and they cook it for you grill or fry. Nice view and the kids had a good time. Strongly suggest to go and enjoy the fresh sea food. The sea food soup was outstanding.

I was very excited to try the restaurant and the food was ok- problem was the service and wine- I asked for glass of white wine and what they brought me was oxidized yellow terrible- so I was told my only option was a $20USD...bottle and they said I could take home the rest- they brought me the bottle and it was carbonated and was not supposed to be and I told waitress when she cane back to check that it was bad it was fizzy and it should not have been- but I only speak English so maybe bit language problem- when i went to pay I had the half full bottle and full glass of oxidized wine and I said it is bad - i was told i drank some so it is fine - i asked them to try some out of bottle but they pretended to not understand- i was forced to pay for the oxidized wine by the staff - I told them to keep the remaining wine to ask owner to try bottle so they do not lose more customers- I will never go back and to bad because i live a block away- clearly they have kept wine in a warm place during covid and it has all gone bad-More

They way over charged us. we really hated our food. It seemed like we were getting charged for things we did not order, That's how expensive our bill was compared to what we ordered. SAVE.YOUR MONEY.

This place was recommended to us by two separate locals so we thought we had to give it a try. We were trying to find TOC beach bar (amazing!! Go there instead) but the taxi (make sure to use Uber in PC as the taxis...are a criminal mafia ring) couldn’t find TOC and recommended Capitan so we agreed. We walked in and they had a very limited selection but we thought well that means it’s all fresh. We opted for a kilo of shrimp and two caipirinhas. The food came and we started to eat but they hadn’t fully cleaned the shrimp. The poop canal was still full on each one. We removed it ourself and tried the shrimp. It was flavorless. We managed to flag the owner and asked for our drinks. He had been busy trying to convince us to take a boat ride and when we declined basically disappeared and had forgotten to bring the drinks. We finally got them and I’m not kidding when I say all it was was sprite and some kind of hard alcohol. Horrible! So we told him we needed the check and had to go. He brought the bill and the drinks were NYC prices even though they were undrinkable. The lunch was over $60!! Arrrghhh. So we wandered down the beach to TOC and each had four cocktails over the next several hours and fish tacos for $60. Don’t go to Capitan Cook!! Maybe it was the place to go years ago but it’s tragic now.More

I first visited this restaurant in 1999, we jumped on a skiff from our resort to this place where they had a huge grill and picnic tables on the beach. They were the best shrimp I tasted then and 22 years later, they are still...delicious but the amount per pound is a whole lot smaller lol.More

We went to this restaurant with friends, 6 persons, we order only appetizers ( awful shrimps, service with so much vinegar and salt that it was hardly eatable, fish soup with no fish, but a lot of rice, and grilled octopus. And some mohitos. We...paid for that almost 300$ - over 15000 pesos!!!! For not eatable apetisers!!! Avoid this place, they do not know how to cook!More
