My partner and I ate here twice during our week stay in Cap Cana. We were not staying at Eden Roc, but if you make a reservation you can enjoy this stunning location. The service is second to none. Truly five star. The food is...good, it’s expensive for what is offered in my opinion but the value of the experience really comes through in the form of service and setting here. Not to say the food is bad, but if you consider yourself a foodie you might not get that WOW factor (paella wasn’t the best I’ve had). I will say, Wednesday night was “Heritage Night”, featuring a pre-fix Dominican menu, and it was so worth it. Staying in Cap Cana we didn’t really find a ton of authentic Dominican food options so this was a cool experience. Don’t miss this seaside paradise!More

Best food and location to have lunch or dinner. I really love the sea food paella and the special roll.

We ate here 7 of our 9 nights. The restaurant is right on the water, the sunsets are lovely, the view is peaceful, and the setting is romantic. We especially loved the seafood, and the attentive and good humored staff made the experience special every...night.More

Everything in Cap Cana is 5 Stars+ but La Palapa is #1 when it comes to the attention we receive, the customer service and flavor/quality/choices of the food offered. It doesn't really matter if you are too shy or too confident the service is always...there and it improves on each visit. After more than 9 months visiting all the different restaurants in Punta Cana, this is definitely our best choice. We are deeply grateful for all the experiences and moments we shared in this place. Highly recommended. Namaste.More

Want a killer view and great food?....then u have to dine at La Palapa. The open air restaurant and deck overlooks the Eden Roc Beach Club. Food is a little expensive, but everything is always fresh and well prepared. Excellent wait staff. Ask for a...shot of mamajuana for an end of meal drink!More

Make sure to ask for Ramon Knight at Las Palapas. He has the best attention to detail and recommendations. The staff at the Palapas are great including Miguel and Erinerdo.

There's a reason this area is deserted, restaurants are empty, and shops shuttered. It isn't COVID or even service in the entertainment industry there which is fine. I have been considering purchasing in the Cap Cana area and own two properties in Punta Cana. I...brought friends to see the sites and the backward processes, terrible terrible customer service experience set me against it. The ignorance of the security guards was the first barrier. Actually speaking with the guard station "Concierge" was unforgettable. She was rude, condescending, and had absolutely no idea of how customer service should be conducted. I needed to make a restaurant reservation she informed me. She needed to "register" every individual entering the grounds and copy their ID. When I called to actually make the reservation at la Palapa (she would not call) it's a main line - hotel reservation or restaurant? Restaurant. "I'll transfer you to restaurant reservations." That receptionist transfers me to the actual restaurant of la Palapa. You need a Dominican phone number and WhatsApp to receive the pass. It never came. I call back. Three transfers and the restaurant now isn't picking up. 30 minutes later, I'm fuming. I explain to the Concierge here that I had actually been considering purchasing here but not after this horrible experience and that I would never put my guests through this experience and I will be buying my house in Punta Cana instead. "Do whatever you want." She Gloated. Yes, Gloated. It was a disgusting experience and sets the tone for the empty streets, abandoned shops, and empty restaurants.More

We went to this restaurant quite a lot during our 5 days stay. It has a good and varied menu so there is enough to choose something different each time. I had sushi and similar for lunch with a nice local beer. We had grilled...lobster for dinner, with a shrimp cocktail as a starter. Good pasta dishes. Everything we had we enjoyed. Adding to the enjoyment is sitting by the water as the waves go past breaking on the nearby sand. The service was extremely good and friendly. There is one fairly significant negative here though. Whilst we very much enjoyed sitting in the area right by the sea, it looks very much like an addition to the restaurant. The main part is really very nicely decorated with very nice tables and chairs. The very modern section, white, much cheaper chairs and tables by the water does not have the class of the main part. This is a great shame and it would be great if they replicated the whole area in the same way as the main part. That said, would still very much recommend this place for both lunch and dinner.More

Great place for fresh fish and the pasta (what a surprise!) was outstanding! Plus, there is a resident sea turtle who came by to savor some of our fish scraps the 2 nights we ate there! FUN
