Api beach is an awesome restaurant experience. The music is amazing, the views gorgeous and the best service staff I have come across traveling the world. Jac was our server every day we came in and he took exceptional care of us from start to finish! He is so warm and accommodating- he felt like family by the time our trip was wrapping up! The ceviche and the fish are must haves and try the Leyenda rum (my favorite) If you want a scene that checks all of the boxes, do Api Beach in Cap Cana! We will certainly go back. Remember to ask for Jac!

Great service, great atmosphere! This is a wonderful place to spend the day. They have a pool a beach and plenty of chairs both sun and shaded. I only give a 4 star because the food is just okay and every time we have tried the croquettes they have come ice cold in the middle. I have been going to the beach here for 2 years and the service has really improved the last 3 months. I only wish they had more selection and a better food menu. The burger is really the only consistent item normally the are out of most dishes and appetizers. The Pizza is just okay too.

The grounds of Api Beach and Maralia Restaurant are absolutely beautiful. Upon arrival, my family and I were greeted immediately by all the staff at Maralia Restaurant and Manager Marcos. The service was exceptional - attentive. The food overall was fresh, good portion and the drinks were tasty served with quality liquor. The pool was wonderful overlooking the ocean. We will definitely be visiting again! Thank you all for your service Familia Del Toro

If the location is truly nice, facing the sea with a small sargassum preserved sea pond area and a little pool, very nice and friendly service, the food could be improved. The ceviche are obviously prepared too much in advance the fish or shrimps being hence over cooked by the lemon, what they call octopus is in fact squid, I was served a fried red snapper that was way overcooked I even suspect it to have been fried in advance and reheated, tried the pizza that was really average, Cuban sandwich gosh…. Cocktails are nice though and will be served with a smile (hidden by the mask but you still can see it in the eyes.)

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately this is not our menu. This food is from a neighbouring restaurant on the beach.

One of the worst meals in a long time .. the white fish arrived brownish and grey inside … not white as described on the menu. It was tough like a bad steak and tasteless … both meals inedible Waiter didn’t know what the fish they served was! The place is expensive ( nearly $40 with tax for our main ) but in a lovely setting so if the food was good it would be a lovely place to eat. However with a gin and tonic at $25 the wine ranging from $60 dollars minimum you are in for a hefty bill so food needs to be good ! They gave us a 10% discount on the meal as an apology … didn’t want to argue so paid but no tip of course. There were very few customers so that tells a take in itself Horrible meal, customer service poor, and all I can say is avoid it if you like edible food

We walked the beach from Punta Palmera to Api beach to have an umbrella drink... $28 later Not sure why when in cap Cana everything has to be so rediculously expensive? Yes it's an upscale area and I get that but, some things are excessive price gouging and there are no other ways to describe it. I had a choice not to have a drink there, sure, I didn't look at the price, I just ordered what I thought looked good. Could probably have made 20 of thes drinks at home for what they charged me for 2! Home doesn't come with an ocean view though! ,

Hi Wanaride, Thanks for the post. Happy to break the $14 cocktails (including taxes) down for you. But first, a warm welcome to you and our friends from greater Minneapolis where the average cocktail is $9-$12, and reaches up to $35 per drink. This is included here, to create a fair perspective for the general audience. Only difference being we are not a typical bar in a relatively smaller space. We are a beach club spanning 32,000 square feet, on an island which has to import many of its products and almost all liquors. After reviewing your liqu0r-b0y online store, I can say that we pay 1.8 times the price. Almost double what you would pay for the alcoholic ingredient. Cocktail including taxes: $14 Taxes: VAT $1.97 Government Service Charge: $1.09 Cocktail excluding taxes: $10.94 Liquor component: $2.50 to $7.00 depending on the cocktail Fruit component: $0.85 to $2.15 Bar Labor, including living, diet, health insurance Utilities, including Electricity, water, and telephone Rent Landscaping, beach cleaning operations. We could continue, but this is becoming a sad exercise. We have cocktails that may provide a small return, and others that are loss leaders. Generally, if we can squeeze out a profit of more than $2 per cocktail, we are happy. I am not including marketing in this breakdown, which is sure to increase each time we have to respond to comments such as yours. There's a price behind everything. Please keep in mind that when looking for a particular vacation rental, the price of the unit does not always reflect the price of nearby restaurants. Be sure to also look into any federal taxes which may be included before visiting your country of choice. Sending nothing but love during this pandemic. Matthew

This place is spectacular! A must see in Punta Cana. They have music that gives a delicious vibe next to the waves and under the sun. Rosy treated us like family... thank you very much! The food is delicious and they give you bottle service if you buy your own bottle. The attention is super and it is definitely worth coming. The beach is super clean and they give it a lot of attention ensuring that there is no trash left behind. I loved that how they give importance to the environment. I prefer to pay in a place like this. The water is divine and so are the vibes. Don't miss spending the day at Api Beach House and asking for Rosy ❤️❤️🏝️

It’s a very quiet place if you want to enjoy some peaceful time away from the all inclusive resorts. Our server Daniel was friendly. Food is good, we had the cold ceviche and the fried ceviche. Imported beer is $8. Prices are average/high. They have a pool and a private artificial beach that we didn’t use but apparently is included if you eat/drink at the facility. Towels not included. They arranged our way back to the reception area with a golf cart that drove us through the Marina. The area is high end with luxurious boats all over. We waited for a taxi at the reception area for about 30 mins but we are on vacation anyway… something to keep in mind when visiting the island… they are very happy and enthusiastic but they don’t operate like we do in America…. They have no rush….. just seat back and relax the view.

Absolutely beautiful and clean beach with lounge chairs and covered cabanas. Very quiet and relaxing. The restaurant Maralia was hands down the best food we had while in the D.R. The spicy tuna tartare and pork belly tacos were mind blowing! The passionfruit mojito was to die for. Highly recommend spending a day in this area!

Wonderful Time. Thoroughly enjoy my 2 day visits to Api Beach Club. Johnny was our host both days. He is a great guy. Super helpful and provides top notch service without any shenanigans. He is sweet and a little ray of sunshine with his huge smile. He’s killing it with kindness and a chill vibe. The playlist is chill but appropriate. The water is amazing calm and the right temp. Very little seaweed. The food is limited but really good. The drinks are awesome. They actually have alcohol & taste good unlike our resort. Footnote l: stay away from TRS Cap Cana. There is no free beach as they promote on there site and confirmed with a phone call after the hurricane.

We are from Mexico living in Dominican Republic and Marcos made us feel at home. Also our waiters were very attentives. The place has very nice views, a private beach and pool ideal The service of the waiters was excellent and the pool was great for our children (8 and 9 years old). The food was outstanding, we love the arepas and the crispy shrimps. Certainly we will return very soon.

API is a great place for hanging during the day, chill on the beach, have some drinks and food. The service over there is great, in special Rosi, Eduardo and Timmy. Rosi has been very charming, giving us the welcome every time, remembered us, remembered what we ordered and always had smile for us. Also, Matthew, the owner is great. He is always very close, gives great tips about the surroundings, and has that Australian-Dominican vibe that makes you smile. Congrats to the whole team, you were the best part of our trip.

We are not sure what happened but we had a pretty bad experience at Api Beach - we went to have lunch and enjoy the beach but we were turned away. They were surely open (there were some people there) but only 10% full so it was not because they were too busy. Definitely a disappointment. We surely did not meet the famous Rosie from these reviews. Maybe she should ensure good service even when she is not around...

Hi Harlemfamily, Thanks for reviewing. Certainly uncharacteristic of our team to do something like that (with or without Rosie). Please let me know an approximate time or there abouts of when you went/subsequently turned away so I can identify the team member involved and follow up. Best, Matthew

We visited Api Beach a few late afternoons during our last trip. Rosie our waitress was welcoming and knowledgable. It has a fabulous view of the ocean and it was nice to see the boats comings into the marina. Shrimp Quesadillas were tasty with a nice cold Presidente beer! We'll be back!
