Service here is kindly and prompt. Classic Indian menu. Food tastes average and prices are high.
Note that restaurants in the DR are currently supposed to close at 7 pm on weeknights snd 5 pm on weekends due to Covid. You can order to go...outside those times.More
For the best food in Punta, go to Pranama. The Indian food is the best I've had and I've been to many. We met with Krishna the owner and he is from Hydrabad, so food is authentic. Not the typical Dominican 2 hour wait to...be serviced. The special drinks with Rose and Ginger where fantastic. It is actually low priced for the terrific service and quality of food. We had enough left over for next day and the flavors we're even better (which was hard to believe). You will not be disappointed with this choice.More
Visited on a weekday evening and the place was jam-packed. The friendly staff struggled to keep up with the clientele. We had several vegetarian entrees with naan and rice. The food was okay but the portions were really small. I would need three entrees myself....They don't have a tandoor so the naans were really not naans! All put together, it's really poor value for money...especially with that 28% tax and tips.
Recommended only if you sorely crave Indian food.More
We were looking for something different and Pranama was a short walk from our condo. The service was good and the spice level was spot on for the chicken vindaloo. My wife who hasn't like Indian food in the past enjoyed her dish. Naan was...excellent, but the portion seemed small. We should have ordered 2.More
We tried good Indian Food in a Trip to UK years ago. It was great to see authentic Indian Food in Bavaro. The place has a nice terrace and the service is very attentive. We will be back in the next trip. Well Done!
We decided to take a chance on having Indian cuisine in the Dominican Republic not knowing for sure what to expect.. we were pleasantly surprised with the amount of dishes offered. We ordered a selection of dishes we were so surprised and happy with the...the authenticity and amazing flavours. The restaurant is down a walkway between two buildings. There is indoor and outdoor seating situated amongst plenty of greenery and lights hanging from the ceiling. The furnishings are not fancy but the food more than makes up for this...More
Visited b/c of nice reviews. We love Indian cuisine. Curry chicken: asked medium spicy, but it was more like mild. Vegetable korma was edible. Portions are small compared the price. Service: not much to be happy about.
