Probably the best burger I have ever had! It is a small little take away restaurant. They have some seats out front but majority is take away! i tried the chorizo burger on spot. Wow the flavours were just amazing! I will Definitely be back!!!

We stopped for lunch around noon and were welcomed and treated like family. The owner/server/cook was friendly, helpful, accommodating and attentive. The food (all some version of hamburger, including vegetarian) was copious and very good tasting. Both kinds of fries were delicious. By copious, I...mean really BIG. I learned as a child always to eat everything set before me but this was hard to finish. If we had had a cooler with ice, I would have taken half home for dinner. Notwithstanding the menu, this is not fast food. Everything was home made, with care and pride. So no hint of institutional blandness. The sauce maison samurai was both different and good. We were both glad we chose it. Understand that this is not by any means « fine dining »: There are only four tables, it opens out right on to the sidewalk on the busy N4, and it more resembles a food stall than a restaurant. But, seated there, you can see everything that is going on. We really enjoyed the experience.More

The front gate was just half way up 30 minutes after opening, but after asking the woman who was preparing the burgers opened the restaurant and was very nice and kind. The restaurant and the kitchen wear very clean. We were really impressed by the...burgers, but also the fries were one of the best we ever had. There are just four tables, so make sure you come early enough. We definitely recommend this restaurantMore

Food was great, the woman who was preparing them and serving them was very nice. So totally recommended 🙂 PS: this is one of the first places around saint anne where we could easily find vegetarian/vegan dish.

Because off the good reviews on TripAdvisor me and my girlfriend went there to eat. It's small but The place looks clean and the owner was very friendly. We ordered 2 vegieterian burgers and they where very very good. You could taste that he used...fresh ingredients and that it was made with care. If you look for a great Burger you should Definitely try these.More

If you visit Sainte-Anne YOU HAVE TO EAT THERE Home made bread, fresh meat Good but light burger Even when I am in Guadalupe I live 45 minutes road from there, I'll have to eat there

The burgers are made fresh each day; and when they're gone they're gone so get their early. The burgers are ground by the owner each day and the chips (normal and sweet potato) are peeled and cut each day. The buns come from a local...boulangerie. The burgers are cooked to order and to your taste with loving care ; no matter whether you them rare or well done. There are a number of options with different extras from the classic to ones with blue cheese or bacon (see photo for menu). The little place also sells alcohol and you can have a beer or even a red wine with your burger. If this place was in New York, Paris or London there would be queues. I strongly recommend you try it!More

We had walked by this restaurant several times and one night we decided to have a burger. The best decision we made that night. I had the chorizo burger and my husband had the regular burger with fries. There is nothing regular about these burgers....The hamburger is made with high quality meat and topped with chorizo and other condiments and a special sauce. Honestly, it was so good I encouraged the owner to move to New York where we could use one of this fabulously delicious burgers. My husband loved his burger too. They were in a brioche bun which also made a difference. Thank you for such a delicious experience. We hope to go back the next time we are in Guadeloupe.More

Came with my family on the basis of other reviews which were uniformly positive, but was still very pleasantly surprised by how great both the burgers and fries were. Truly among the best I’ve had anywhere. As we are English speakers with little capacity in...French, it was really thoughtful for a small establishment that a bilingual menu is provided. Everyone was very friendly. Overall a great experience.More

Finding fresh, good food at reasonable price can be a bit tricky in Guadeloupe. We found this lovely little restaurant (and takeaway) on our third evening in Saint Anne, and returned another two times! Gounes Food is run by a lovely quirky french couple and...opened in 2018. The burgers and fries are homemade, with fresh ingredients, making them taste exceptionally good. The meat is on point and fries are crunchy yet soft inside. We loved every bite of it (all the three times)! It even is open on Mondays, when most of the other food places are closed.More

A real 'Michelin'-star burger in the smallest booth of Sainte Anne! If the Ritz Carlton would serve this, they would get a Michelin star immedialtely ;-). Yet Goune's Food is a little 'snackbar'-gem with high quality, home made burgers. Fresh, loads of taste and choices...(like an Italian burger) and very friendly owners who are proud of what they serve. Great atmosphere.More
