My husband and I ate dinner here this evening . The restaurant is beautifully appointed surrounded by a garden and artistic touches. The food is very uneven, however. The amuse Bouche given as a complimentary starter was delightful a pumpkin mouse and tapenade of sundried tomatoes with toast , homemade rolls were also excellent . We started with a appetizer... After our amuse bouche, we started with the foie gras mousse which they split for us with excellent presentation. If you like foie gras it is divine, we have never had anything like it. For our main courses, I chose the lobster with vegetable tagliatelle and my husband had beef short ribs. The presentation and flavor were lovely. We drove... More

The modest exterior belies a very elegant and well appointed spacious interior - a beautiful restaurant. The dishes, based on mostly local ingredients, reveal a strong classical French lineage and are mostly excellent, if not of dazzling originality. The marlin carpaccio, thin slices of impeccably fresh fish, was a winner, a light and tasty appetizer. A plate of seafood brought... More

We ate here on a weekday evening, having reserved a table for two at 19:30, the opening time of the restaurant. I reserved from the States, leaving a message at the restaurant, and I received both a phone call and an email confirmation. Out of all the places I left messages (hotels, sailing excursions, restaurants, this was the most responsive... More

Six of us ate dinner here last week. None of the reviews we read even begin to share the special experience of this lovely restaurant. It really compares to the nicest restaurants in the States. The setting is tropical and beautiful with lovely sculpture, table settings, lighting, etc. The noise level was so quiet. But the food and the service... More

Almost all of the reviews here are in french, as it should be since most of the residents and visitors are french. We visited Guadeloupe in January 2016. We enjoyed almost all of the food we ate on the island, but this restaurant is a cut above most others. Excellent food and service and beautiful decor. I had very good... More

We ate here because it was close to our hotel and highly rated in Fodors. The atmosphere was beautiful. Open air old Caribbean house but imaculate with exquisite table setting. Our waiter spoke very good English which helped on this very French Island. Service started with crackers and an olive tapenade followed by an excellent amuse bouche. My wife had... More

We were recommended this restaurant to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. It was a little more pricey than other restaurants in guadeloupe but for a special occasion well worth it (£100 per couple for a drink to start, two courses and a bottle of wine). We were well attended to and were even given a stool to put a handbag... More

My brother in law proposed to go there, because some years ago he liked it very much. It would like to be a gourmet place, but we were disappointed. The languste menu contained the same taste in three different dishes and some of them were really over sophisticated and not good taste. It was the most expensive place, so it... More

My husband and I heard about this restaurant after several days in Guadeloupe in December 2013 and made a reservation. Beautiful restaurant and surprisingly not at capacity. We've eaten all over the world including both 2* and 3* Michelin-rated restaurants in France 2 months ago but l'Iguane was one of the best meals we've ever had! Delicious amuse bouche of... More
