The hotel recommended we follow our nose to this place. It turned out to be amazing. We got there after a pretty busy day and they were out of a number of things. That was understandable because there was an event in town. For my first Jerk experience I loved it. The other guy with me doesn't like spice food.... More

Being from Montego Bay scotichies is a everyday food. Whether it's lunch or dinner it's great and the staff are super friendly. Bones and I have become great friends over the years. With such an experience I was expecting the same in Kingston. Becoming friend with the employees aren't as likely because it's always super busy and they have little... More

I understand the foundation of Scotchies, however, to me, the preparation of the food isn't truly Jamaican... Even the spice is down played if you ask me. If you want real Jamaican jerk chicken or pork, find a roadside jerk man. Food is average, service is good... location is hidden, almost like an oasis in the city.

This place has really gone down, food is terrible and service was really bad. Nothing like what this place use to be when it first opened.

Name just changed; food and installations remain the same. I haven't been to every jerk joint in Jamaica; but it has the best I've tried so far. The smokiness and spiciness of the meat make you indulge and eat more than you should; so pace yourself. Lovely rustic setting with individual huts and bar area. The only thing missing was... More

Scotchies is a MUST when one travels to Jamaica. Everything jerk with a mixture of various spices. A great representative for Jamaican food.

The jerk pork and chicken is very good here. Very pleasant atmosphere with a variety of ethnicities there to dine usually. They have a bar as well. Safe area with plenty of parking. They serve conch on weekends.

The yam was so dry (dried out) it could choke you. The Jerk was disappointingly dry too. I wish I had ordered the fish. Those who (several persons)did gave it a great review. As for my order of jerk and yam, I'll give it thumbs down. The soup was great!

Went for launch and had a great time. Not only was the food great the Travel channel was doing a show there and I got to be on it. I will definitely go again.
