We had the pleasure of eating at De Bar three separate times during our recent visit to Negril, and each meal was amazing. We enjoyed chatting with owner Eddie about his history with De Bar and how it came about My wife and I agreed that the Jerk Chicken at De Bar was the best we have had in Jamaica.... More

The place is basically a little hut in the front, open air picnic tables and a cooking hut in the back. We had a few beers, talked to the locals and then the food arrived. Amazing food.. The jerk sauce was the best, the chicken was grilled to perfection and so was fish. Well worth the hour or so wait.

A little thatched roof...a couple of grills...a couple of dogs. Eddie, the owner, is so welcoming in every detail. Locals go into the coolers themselves to get what they want and they straighten it out after they are done. Jerk Chicken & bread was excellent. The fries were very good. The Red Stripes were cold. Sadly the kingfish was pretty... More

Laid back, takes a while to get food, but worth it. We've been to Jamaica 25+ times and this is some of the best jerk chicken. They only take cash, no cards.

Trevor is back on the grill and OMG chicken is so juicy so tender so full of flavor and all at a great price and sincere service. Feels like dining with family. Good conversation and drinks as well. By far the best jerk chicken in Negril.

My husband and I LOVE jerk chicken. We had jerk chicken at several places in Negril and this was by far the best we had. We found that the jerk seasoning/sauce wasn't very spicy at some places, I'm assuming they tone it down for tourists but we like it authentic and hot, and that's exactly what we found at De... More

Awesome atmosphere, friendly service and great food! I've only ever had the jerk chicken because it is so moist and full of flavour right to the bone! 3 Dives is good but DeBar is exceptional! May have to go back tonight :)

Debar has some of the best jerk chicken in Negril. It is a circular open-air style, thatched roof bar. Eddie cooks his chicken on a grill everyday. Just make sure when you get there that the chicken is ready or about ready, because if not you might have a wait. It is worth the wait, but a lot of people... More
