Had to wait more than an hour for greasy and extremely salty appetizers . Main course took 90 mins. Poor quality food. Multiple parties left the place with untouched food or drinks at the tables w/o settling accounts. That bad !!!!

El Taino is officially the worst restaurant I have ever been too. The service was horrible - took an hour to get our food and it the place was far from busy. They begged us to say and said the food "was on the way out". The food was absolutely horrible - no meat at all just crushed bone, marrow,... More

How much a restaurant can change in a decade, it was the best arroz con guinea when it was a small business! What a dissapointment! today after visiting the observatory, went back. Place it's huge, decoration is beautiful, however owner and chef should be ashamed. High prices, bad service. arroz con guinea, came without beans, Conejo was 2 small bones... More

We received a flier upon entering the caves at Camuy for this restaurant so we figured we would try it... The outside and inside look nice. Looks can be deceiving... We ordered our food, drinks were served, soda cans came out hot. Waitress comes back to tell us they are out of white rice... (In a Spanish restaurant?) then the... More

I’m living now for 30 years in Puerto Rico. My wife is Puertorican. I guess I have seen it all, especially after reading all these reviews I knew what to expect. We had recently a Class Reunion from our Swiss Engineer College (ETH) in Zurich. 32 persons made the trip and attended the one week event. We planned to visit... More

Directed to this restaurant from the cavernas de camuy. The food- I recieved the Christmas plate which consisted of lechon, pasteles, morsilla( blood sausage) and rice with pigeon peas. The sausage, lechon were prob 3 days old and not edible, seriously the meat was super dry and I could not even cut it. Rice was good though. Waitress was very nice... More

It is amazing how you can read review from two years ago, and the review are the same. Bad service, food took over an hour, waiters never check to see how we were doing, food tasted nastyyy. The only positive was the Mayo-Ketchup. Even the water tasted discusting. The exterior looks good. What a shame.

We ate here a couple years ago after visiting the caves nearby. Back then, it was a small, homey little place. Very inexpensive, but good food. We mostly enjoyed it for the experience. What a difference two years makes. The facility and decor are upgraded and the food is even better, and well-worth the higher prices, which are still reasonable.... More
