After a morning spent walking the outside of the city walls and admiring La Puerta de San Juan, we were in need of some cool drinks and a light lunch. The previous day we'd sampled some of the delicious food at Cafe El Punto while taking part in a Flavors of San Juan walking tour, and we decided to come... More

This is the second time we visited. The traditional Mojitos are fabulous. The service is good and the food is delicious. This is a place will will keep coming back.

We stopped here on a Flavors of San Juan tour and were greeted personally by the charming owner and his wife. The food is top notch and you have the added bonus of viewing beautiful arts and crafts while you dine.

We stopped in for their 2-1 Mojitos and sat at the bar. Michael was the bartender - great job! Fun atmosphere!

My initial impression was "This is a restaurant?!?! Due to its size and location. However to my amazement the small restaurant about the size of a large living room more than lived up to my restaurant status. The drinks were made from fresh fruits on the spot. My mother and I had the mango juice, and my daughter had the... More

Came here while walking around old town. Nice low key place with authentic Puerto Rican food. Had the paella which was good as well as an avacado stuffed with crab. Both were great. The avacado was nicely sweet. Would eat here again for sure.

In a very informal atmosphere the visitor can sample a variety of Latin dishes at El Punto. Their specialty is 'tostones rellenos' or stuffed plantains. Fill them with chicken, shrimp, or beef for your liking. Be prepared to pay more the expected, at this Fortaleza St. eatery, good for a midday stop in Old San Juan.

This was one of the best places we ate at on this visit. The food was very fresh and the drinks were made with fresh fruit. The service was great and the place was so pretty. Highly recommended!

My husband and I booked a food tour and Cafe El Punto was one of our stops. We loved the ceviche sample so much we went back at the end of the tour even though we were stuffed and ate more. The staff and food were amazing. Very friendly and went above and beyond without even trying. Very natural. Our... More
