Good place, service was good, the food was cook right, but the croquettes were very bad, almost no ham on them, and the other one, were not good at all. again, they were cook right, not a good flavor. Beers were cold and the prices were reasonable.

Was walking by and saw the donuts thru the doorway. We hadn't planned on eating but saw donuts and had to try. We had the bacon donut very different but great tasting. Just did a take out. Reasonable priced donut and fresh

$6 for a home made pizza that really tasted lovely. Good service too, a little off the beaten track. Bar scene also. Three TVs and music.

La Tortuga is good enough for breakfast, lunch or dinner on a budget. Great coffee, omelettes, sandwiches, and pizzas to name a few. Most menu items are under priced for being in the historic district. Locals go there a lot.

Last year my wife and I stopped in La Tortuga and were very impressed with it. This year when we returned to Old San Juan we decided to stop by on our first night to get a late night snack. We were joined by my wife's brother Michael and sister-in-law Barbara when we stopped in. The people who were working... More

This is a small, non-touristy place that is popular with grad students and professors from the nearby Center for Advanced Study of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. Inexpensive and informal - you can easily make friends with the regulars and maybe get some unique insight into Old San Juan history and culture.

San Juan is expensive. Finding good food for a good price and not leaving disappointed was difficult. This place was a hit! Short walk from El Morro. I think my GPS said it was .3 miles. Our waitress was super nice and gave us tips on which food we ordered. My friend and I each for a personal pan pizza.... More

Everyone seems to have had a great experience here. I stopped in when I was walking down the street and my sweet tooth was aching. I grabbed a baked good to go, some kind of pastry with strawberry filling and I was disappointed. I will say that the person with me got a slice of cake and they were much... More

There are tons of options in this really awesome area of San Juan's Old Town. We'd actually already eaten lunch when we stopped here but decided to step in anyway looking for ice cream. Instead of ice cream, we spied donuts on display. We got a few and loved them. One of us grabbed a slice of pizza - two... More
