My sister found this restaurant on trip advisor. Just a doorway on the street. We werent sure what to expect. We ordered drinks, which were quite delicious.Small menu, but between six of us, we all loved our meal. The chef was super nice, we had a great chat. Best meal I had in Peurto Rico. I can't wait to eat here... More

The food at Mondito's is mediocre at best. It's not the best restaurant in San Juan but certainly not the worst either. If you're looking for an ok, medium priced meal go here. Warning: the didn't give us cups of water instead they gave us bottled water and charged us $2 per bottle.

It was just awful. I ordered the boneless chicken wings, because they said it would be fast to make. It took 30 minutes for them to bring the food. Their looked to be some sort of mole on the chicken, hope I don't get sick.

Excellent Puerto Rican cuisine here with the best asapao I ever had. The food is clearly made to order.

We stumbled upon this place after ruling out a few of the more touristy restaurants. The food is very fresh, homemade in every aspect, and the real deal for Puerto Rican cuisine. I spoke to a local from San Juan on our cruise later in the week and she and her family live on the same street and go there... More

Ok - if you visit this restaurant, please don't be in a rush. The food is excellent and the service is slow because they are making each dish individually. It was well worth the wait. We had the chiccarones, ribs and the yucca. There was a good mixture of locals and tourists. We will definitely go again. If you want... More

After much walking around the Old City during the holiday season, taking in the sights of the Forts and various shops, my friend and I were ready for some good Caribbean Cuisine. This restaurant is located near the main square, on your way back to the bus station and can be easily missed amongst the various restaurants that dot the... More

This was the first time I had mufongo, and it was good. I can't really compare it to anything, but it was highly recommended by a local. We went at an odd time, around 3pm. The services was fine, we were the only ones there. This is definitely a hole in the wall, it's kind of difficult to find. If... More

Reasonably priced. Menu is small which means they take pride in their entrees. You have to try the guava BBQ ribs, absolutely yummy! They also had happy hour so be sure to try the homemade sangria. Warning, cash only and slow service but well worth the wait!
