Across from El Convento Hotel so really not that hidden but doesn't seem to be that well noticed/recognized on Trip Advisor. Which on one hand is good because it wasn't overly crowded when we were there and were able to eat in their cute courtyard. Has some great tapas and the service was excellent!

Affordable. GREAT Puerto Rican food. Good service. Quaint seating. Very enjoyable meal and highly recommend you visit it after a Mass at St Juan Baptista which is right outside the door.

We had a great night on the patio. They were able to accommodate our large party of 19. The food was excellent and the service was perfect . The Flamingo Dancers were fun to watch when we were leaving - the music and dancers were inside.

We stumbled into this place while exploring old San Juan one evening. The atmosphere is great. It is a Spanish restaurant and gives the real vibe of an authentic Spanish restaurant. We had sangria and a tapas platter. Both were wonderful but the tapas platter was amazing. The stand outs were the Spanish sausages, the potatoes bravas and the chick... More

This is going to be a terrible review because I can't remember the names of anything we ordered, but all were delicious!! We had a a plate of plantains that were flattened and then fried with shrimp and a red sauce with capers over them. That was absolutely delicious! We had a fried calamari which was also delicious. There was... More

We found this little bistro by accident last year, but made sure on our return trip to Puerto Rico that this was on our list of must returns. Their Fried Monchego cheese with eggplant caviars is to die for! The service is quick and friendly, with strong recommendations of their favourites. Will always be on our best restaurants list of... We eat a tapas plate, and there were nothing spesial about it. Just OK. But the service was terrible. Not a smile from the staff, and When we said IT was a bit cold inside, they didn't bother. Outside IT was a tropical storm so we were wet and cold.

At the suggestion of our B & B host, Luz, we got reservations. Oh my goodness what a wonderful experience! I have to recommend this little gem as amongst the highest I have been to in San Juan! The best Mojitos I ever had. The food and the show was authentic to the culture. The age and history of the... More

We found this special restaurant on the Flavors Food Tour. It is located across from Il Convento. It is converted from an old jail and is quite pretty on the inside. We went back in the evening for an appetizer and wine. We had a lovely tempranillo and started talking to the woman next to us at the bar. She... More

By far the best lamb chops ever. I ate here a year ago and it was a must when I recently returned! The staff is very friendly. The restaurant is a bit dark so it is hard to see but, regardless, I will make this a must stop every time I'm in the area.
