Their sushi its great at good price. They don't add a lot of cream cheese and heavy sauces that hide the flavor of the protein. I like it and its very accesible. IN the Piñero from Carolina to Guaynabo just after the Baskin Robbins. They changed name. They're called now Jimmy's Sushi Bar.

I was taken here by a local who has known the sushi chef-owner for many years. It definitely made a difference that the chef is Japanese. The fish was excellent and fresh and I especially enjoyed the fact that this was a quiet, unpretentious place. One sushi roll was delicious creation which included plantain. I also enjoyed the tuna-avacado bowl.

Duplicate listing under "Jinya's". My favorite sushi place in Puerto Rico, by a very long shot. Not a tourist hangout - locals who are in the know go to Jinya's.

This place is owned and run by Jimmy ("Jinya"), a Japanese chef who has been in Puerto Rico for over 25 years. As such, his typical sushi bar, which has a very Tokyo feel to it (sushiman Jinya greets you from the bar when you come in, look and feel is very urban Japan), has also been blessed with a... More

Jinya's is a rarity among sushi restaurants in San Juan in the sense that it actually is owned by a Japanese national. In my humble opinion, that does make a difference. Jinya's offers all the traditional sushi can expect from a sushi restaurant plus some very creative concoctions developed by its chef. I have been several times and have never... More

I've visited this restaurant many times (probably more than 15 times) and I've never been disappointed, Jimmy (the owner) always has something new to surprise me, he is very skilful and probably makes the best sushi in San Juan, I just love this place :-D

Food is amazing. Need to try the pegau, the ocean roll, the kani sald, everything was great. Its a small space, not the fanciest but once you go you wont want to go any where else to eat sushi.

Good sushi, owner, sushi chef is there to please. One of the few places on the island that has quail eggs, monkfish liver and salmon cheek.
