We were looking for a new place to eat in Simpson Bay with a couple of our local favourite hangouts now closed. We have walked by The Boathouse many times over the years but had never gone in. So we decided to give it a try. The restaurant was very quiet - virtually dead; not normally a good sign in... More

This is not our first time dining at the Boathouse. In the past always great. Something has changed. Maybe new owner? When ordering a drink from the menu we were told they were out of many of the ingredients for many of them. The waiter... a bit scattered. We were pleasantly surprised when the food arrive. The coconut shrimp was... More

Place was dead when we were there. Coconut shrimp is awesome. They had no garlic cheese bread on the menu so the waiter made us some on his own - and it was delicious. Add it to your menu.

Boathouse used to be one of our go to restaurants every trip so we decided to give it one more try. Unfortunately the food is still as bad as its been for the last 5 years. The stuffed Grouper special was not fresh but frozen, and it was dripping in water when it was served. It was tasteless and just... More

We arrived to the Boat House which used to be a favorite hangout years ago. 7pm Friday evening there is no welcome, you walk through a disco area with all the strobe lights flashing until you find the dining deck. In the disco there was a musician whose voice was ok but so loud when seated it got in your... More

In the past the Boathouse was very good. I believe after a management change it has sadly gone downhill. The waiter was brand new and barely knew the menu. They did provide us with bug spray which was very considerate. Took us a 30+ minutes to get the check (we were walking around the empty restaurant looking for someone). They... More

We visited right at the tail end of happy hour and the manager was good to uphold the 2 for 1 policy for the last few minutes. The mojitos were tasty and we enjoyed the coconut shrimp. Too bad that the resto wasn't more busy. Maybe it's the time of year?

Brought out the wrong order, had to wait 10 minutes while watching others eat. Still didn't get it right the second time and made no effort to fix the problem. Never returned for drink refills. Portions not worth the cost. Spoke to the mgr to get a discount and remove the service charges. Won't be going back!

Nice place to get a beer. The view it back is on a canal, and while not tremendous, will let you are some boats going by. Staff was very friendly. Thanks

We stopped here after arriving on the island. The good: Very surprised by the extensive vegetarian options on the menu. Service was very friendly and good. Flavors on the vegetarian options. The average: Price Creole flavors Texture of the vegetarian food The poor: Salad was a waste of food - bland, boring
