Staying on Christiansted boardwalk we took the five dollar, ten minute ferry ride to this, the only downtown beach. Descent beach food, good beach drinks, in a covered out door setting right on the beach. Reasonable prices. Service at their tables or they will walk it to your beach chair on the sand. Laid back comfortable setting. Not a place... More

I visited Hotel on the Cay to attend the Tuesday Night BBQ. You sit on plastic chairs and tables on the sand, overlooking the Christiansted Harbor. Waitresses come to your table to take drink orders, though the service was slow and honestly awful. To pay for the buffet, you have to queue up in a long line just before the... More

I don't recommend going to the Tuesday buffet/entertainment. The food actually is pretty good, but I think too pricey for what you get - $31 each. After dinner there was a small steel band playing but from where we sat we couldn't hear too good. There was only one mocko jumbie which was disappointing. He walked around and took pics... More

Food was just so-so, and for $62 plus $12 for the ferry plus $6 for 2 ice teas, that was pricey. The show was good, though not exceptional, and the break between acts was too long and we got bored and left. We did get to hear the steel pan music and saw the mocko jumbies, which was fun.

We stayed in Christiansted for a week and ventured over the the Hotel on the Cay for what we hoped would be a relaxing day. The beach was OK, the water was as well, but the beach bar and restaurant had horrible service! We went up for lunch after their busy time at around 2:00 pm, and we literally didn't... More

Stayed at Hotel on Cay for 3 nights in February, 2016. Hotel was fine, unique setting on island in harbor. Restaurant and bar on best beach in harbor area are immediately adjacent to hotel. Didn't realize until we arrived that the restaurant and bar are operated independently of hotel. We were told that bar was open until 7. Arrived around... More

I live on St. Croix but it took over 30 minutes to get a piña colada. Even then, my buddy had to go get it from the bar. I ordered a club sandwich and after an hour I gave up and told the waitress to forget it unless it was going to have a discount. I didn't get a discount... More

Ok so there is only 1 bartender on duty and maybe 1 or 2 servers. Forget getting service on the beach if you're white. They only take care of locals and cruise patrons.

Took a mini-vacation and stayed at the hotel on the key ... Our first visit to the restaurant and it was our waitress first day .. She was nice " hi Chantel" and the food was just ok . She was a bit green so there were a few hiccups . The next day we tried again and had another... More

On a trip with my extended family and 8 young kids, someone else had booked this place for a fun dinner event. I checked out the reviews the day we were going and thought that it could not be that bad . . . it ended up being worse. We went for the "Big Tuesday night show," which ended up... More
