I see lots of good reviews for this place, but we thought the food was terrible. The Jerk Chicken was very, very spicy. To each their own, but for $25 a person, it was terrible.

The Afterdeck in Port Lucaya Marketplace was a nice break away from the resorts and All Inclusive. Really good menu for adults and children.  Excellent customer service.  And even a full bar.  Situated right in the middle of the Marketplace, you can't miss it. Indoor (with fans) and Outdoor seating (with fans) there is room to accomodate any size party.... More

The Afterdeck has by far the best coconut french toast around. We travel to Freeport every year and we always make sure to have breakfast at The Afterdeck!

I was wandering around the square and enticed to eat here by the lovely ladies on the porch "encouraging" customers. The waitresses have clearly worked here for years and know each other well. I had the lobster salad which was delicious. Fresh warm lobster meat with just a bit of may served over greens with vegetables..Divine! A little touristy and... More

My wife and I stopped in for lunch and had a very nice meal. The employees were attentive and friendly. Yes, it is expensive but no more so than the other restaurants in the area. The only thing I didn't like was that even though 15% gratuity was automatically included, there was still a line on the credit card slip... More

Our guide recommended the hole bus the particular restaurant as real authentic Bahamian food. We ordered the conch fritters. It was around 2 % conch - the rest was fried bread. The Club sandwich and fish and chips were both very bad. Even the French fries were bad. Also it was super overpriced! And besides that we waited 1 hour... More

We had breakfast our second morning (of five) at the Afterdeck and decided to have all of our breakfasts there. The food was great, but the real reason we went back every day was because Yvonne and Jeanetta. Wonderful ladies who treated us as if we were their own daughters. The guava pancakes, the coconut pancakes and the coconut french... More

After walking along the beach most of the early afternoon a friend and I decided to sit down and have a late lunch. She was smart and asked a couple of cab drivers who were relaxing about the restaurants in the Port Lucaya Marketplace. They gave 2 suggestions, one of which was The After Deck. I am so glad we... Conch was pretty good glad I tried it. The rice was room temp and would have been better hot. The coleslaw was excellent. Service is slow but most everything in the Bahamas is slow.
