Is the public beach still open? At one time, before the hurricane, you could walk beside the police station and have access to this beach. Is this still possible? Thank you. planning trip in April just wanted to make sure you could still get there.

Billy Joe's blew away in Hurricane Matthew, 2016. It was a great place, but probably gone forever since he died a couple of year's ago.

Trying to get back up and running after the Hurricane. The other place was destroyed. They have a small hut back up and trying to get started again. Not sure how long?

I headed to Billy every day after diving for a cold beer and a fresh conch salad prepared right in front of my eyes. The best place to be over the water. ;)
