Always go hear for our lunch. But called in today. Place was busy. Was very disappointed the chips were stone cold and looked like they had been sat for a week. The fish was greasy and cold. Very disappointed and won't be in a hurry to return

We're very sorry you came away disappointed this time. We always strive to make sure our food is freshly cooked and kept hot throughout the day. Especially at this time of the year. The Fish especially should always be hot, as the top boxes are temperature monitored. We also carry out temperature checks throughout the day. The chips are also... More

Fab staff, friendly, great fish and chips, gr8 prices. Nothing better than getting a fish n chips and going to sit and eat them down on the harbour front where the coloured beach huts are on the tables. Definitely recommend this chip shop.

Good quality fish and chips. Soooo fresh and all washed down with a cup of tea. Friendly staff and very clean and comfortable restaurant. Pity about the barricades built outside by the Harbour property owners, but well worth a visit for fish and chips and ample parking.

Phoned in an order, a few folks in the queue when we arrived to collect it. We waited in the queue but the pleasant guy at the counter told us to come straight to the till in future if we were collecting an order. The staff were all friendly, polite and good at their jobs and the shop was clean... More

Weve had fish and chips from here a few times now on our regular jaunts in Northumberland. The nicest weve had and believe me weve tried many fish and chip shops on the Northumberland coast. My wife had standard fish and chips while I went for large. The fish was huge and well cooked as were the chips, very white fish which is... You need to queue but it was worth it - the fish and chips were excellent and the staff lovely and welcoming. After the first visit, the children clamoured to go back again. My mouth is now watering at the recollection!

This place was recommended to me and it's true that there were always queues out of the door, but our cod and chips was lackluster to say the least. The batter was like cardboard and the fish overcooked and the chips were greasy and unpleasant. It's true that we were quite late but plenty of people came in after us,... More

Having eaten fish and chips including Rick Stein in Padstowe I have to say this was great one of the best pieces of Haddock I have ever eaten, the small serving area was very clean and looked kept with pride. Wish it was nearer home but 260 miles is just too far to go.
