I ate here with my husband on a date night during our fortnight at Vounaki. It felt very romantic and rustic sitting in the court yard and had a very traditional Greek feel. It boasts being the oldest restaurant in town. The food was plentiful and satisfying although not haute cuisine. The only problem were the cats and dogs bothering... More

We went to this little taverna 3 times out of 5 during our 2 weeks at neilson vounaki. Very freindly staff and a lovely setting in a small square - the white wine is excellent so no need for beers or ouzo They serve the standard Greek dishes plus special meat dishes which we tried and were great - we... The waiter here at the restaurant understand s your requirements and deliver s it on a many plates. Starter and maincoare were delicious. . The local wine was good with free water included. Would you believe it the desert was given to us free of charge. A must visit in a night off from nielsons.

Following recommendation we hunted out this restaurant and found a wonderful "traditional" family restaurant. The young friendly waiter made us feel very welcome. We opted for a mezzo to start a small carafe of white and an Alfa beer. For the main course we let the waiter recommmend something and he suggested a mix of meats. The mezzo was huge.... More

We ate as a family at Skamnia. This is tucked behind the square and worth the find. The food is fresh and delicious, service good and price very reasonable.

Do not hesitate ; Skamnia is THE actual traditional restaurant where to eat if you're in Palairos. Go for a mezze, or fish. Wet this with some family made local wine. And do it again. Staff and owners are more than friendly and welcoming.

We were staying locally and wanted to find a "real" Greek restaurant - not just like the ones set up for tourists on the sea front. It is set back from the main square in a quaint courtyard. All the food is freshly cooked and is extremely tasty. The waiter was really friendly and provided great service. We enjoyed it... More

We visited this restaurant on a warm July evening. It's tucked away in a courtyard 2-3 mins away from the main square. What a find! The service was attentive but not overbearing, in fact you hardly noticed the waiter (a young chap, probably the owner's son?) was there, until you needed something. The food was excellent, and certainly not the... More

Unlke most restaurants along the beach in Paleros, this one is hidden away in an old square a little bit away from the seafront. However, it was by far the best we ate at. We didn't order from a menu, the owner prepared several dishes for six of us using fish that was fresh that day.
