To be honest, entering a pub on a chilly evening with a nicely lit fire and good local beer on tap is going to be a comfortable experience. We were not rushed from our place by the fire and were only shown to our table...More

Took drive out into countryside and visited The Mole and Chicken for a Sunday Lunch. The log fire, beautiful garden view and fantastic service, made for a wonderful experience.

The Mole and Chicken is a cosy and traditional British pub which historically had a good reputation for traditional food. I attended a birthday celebration there and overall our group found the service to be rather slow. We had to request the bill several times...More

Great place to stay and enjoy a reasonably priced evening set menu. Breakfast was excellent freshly cooked to order.

The Mole and Chicken is consistently good and a great foodie venue in the middle of rural Buckinghamshire. We visited on a Monday lunchtime, so there were only a couple of other tables occupied, besides our party of four. Having been before, I know they...More

We haven’t long been in the area but having moved from London we’ve been extremely underwhelmed by the food options in and around Thame. The quality is usually distinctly average and the prices distinctly above average. A two-star meal is cheaper in London than a...More

Stayed overnight whilst attending the fabulous wedding of our friends at nearby Notley Abbey just a few miles from Thame in south Oxfordshire. Beautiful and charming country pub dating from the 1830's full of original features and comfy leather sofas next to a crackling log...More

Once again it was a lovely Sunday lunch at the Mole and Chicken. We were given a great table in the window, starters, main (roast beef with delicious gravy) and desert were fantastic and it was warm enough to enjoy a drink in the garden...More

Booked on line two weeks prior- called to confirm on the day to be told no tables available. Was supposed to be a treat for our parents. Let down - will never use again.

My best friend took me here for a birthday lunch. Had the £18 two course set menu. Starters huge - I had deep fried herring melts with delicious tartare sauce and my friend had an enormous pork and black pudding patty. Then both had liver...More

The Mole and Chicken is a picturesque, ivy-covered country pub and restaurant in Easington near Long Crendon that is renowned for its Sunday roasts and superb views of the surrounding Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire countryside. The country-cottage-chic interior is all chocolate brown and tan leather seats, whitewashed walls and designer fabrics, and the kitchen at The Mole and Chicken uses seasonal ingredients to create their moreish Mediterranean/British menu. We highly recommend the BBQ belly pork ribs; chilli fried baby squid with garlic, lemon and olive oil; and the devilled kidneys on toast. Enjoyed yourself so much that you don't want to leave? You don't have to, just book one of the five boutique bedrooms located next door!
