Sunday roast out - not one to brag about my own cooking, but I am nearly always disappointed when I eat out on a Sunday, as I reckon I do a much better job myself, not today however! Not without its faults, it took four hours to serve us 3 courses and I had to query the bill, but yesterday... More

Two of us visited for sunday lunch. Place was very busy and after ordering we did have to wait a while for our sunday roast. However it was well worth the wait and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal, the red cabbage was a nice change and very nice too. Good value for the money.

We visited today, a group of eleven and enjoyed a delicious lunch. No one had any negative words to say about anything on our visit. All the main courses were very generous and superb. Ten of us managed desserts and these again were delicious. A thoroughly enjoyable event and we will certainly revisit.

Once again we had a great bar snack here, the restaurant is also excellent. The prices in the bar are very reasonable and of excellent quality. A beautiful building with lots of history in a pretty village.

Our group of seven went to The George for Sunday lunch, 29th October. I have been here before and enjoyed my visits and knew that the portions served here are pretty generous. We decided to skip starters and went straight for the main course, roasts of beef, lamb and pork were on offer and all three were chosen by our... More

I had a lovely evening here with my parents and family friends. The portion sizes were very good. I had the baked Camembert to start and the slow roasted belly pork was my main. The pork was melt in the mouth, delicious. All of the dish was so tasty, I loved the silver skin onions and the cabbage and bacon.... More

An excellent meal where all courses were served in a timely manner. The food was piping hot, plentiful and very tasty. Our party of four had different starters and different mains chosen from a widely varied menu.
