We ate twice in this little restaurant and had excellent meals on both occasions. The quality of the cooking , especially of the sauces, and the presentation of the dishes were of a very high standard. At 38 Euros for three courses (plus amuse bouche) it was not cheap, but a different league to the other restaurants we ate in... More

This village restaurant offers a fixed price menu of original and beautifully presented dishes. Good for vegetarians (excellent as French restaurants go). Very pretty setting opposite church.

Excited about the reopening of this restaurant, we went with another couple for dinner. Had the foie gras staters on the menu after an interesting amuse-bouche of beetroot mousse. Even if the restaurant is tucked in a small, a bit out-of-the-way village, it's quite popular and all the tables were occupied. Thus the long wait for the main course. Three... More

After enjoying this restaurant for many years, it is a sorry day to say that Phillipe and Fi have closed. Thank you so much for the tasty food and wonderful memories. Your creation will be sorely missed.

The restaurant is a real gem in a lovely, quiet little village. We dined outside and the atmosphere was magical. The set price dinner was fantastic. We booked ahead and informed the front of house that 2 of us were vegetarian. The meal they produced for us, and the other two in our party, was just wonderful. We all enjoyed... More

A real gem in this very sleepy hamlet. Must be about our 4th visit to this small but delightful stone walled Auberge. Very friendly and helpful, as always. Set price 3 course dinner at 39 Euros is simple beautifully presented and perfectly executed in the kitchen. All courses are very rich and the amuse bouche stunning, as always too. Could... More

Lou Peyrol is described as a restaurant with rooms. Our son and daughter-in-law had been for dinner and came back saying how good it was, so we booked. The restaurant is run by a French chef (reputedly 2 Michelin stars but taking a break) and his British wife, who runs front of house (so no language problems if you need... More

We ate at Lou Peyrol some years ago and had great memories of the food there so when we returned this year we made sure that we booked for an evening meal. Maybe I chose the wrong dishes as my son said his main dish (duck) was fabulous. However none of us enjoyed the tomato foam appetiser and the two... More

We're gladly staying in St Marcel with Nancy and Peter for two weeks and this is the place to go. Different from most of the local places, you would also find a decent fish dish, veal and lamb on the menue - beside the obligatory duck. Choose the three+one course menu (38.5EUR) which brings quite some sensational experience. We had... More
