But some food was just ok. The appetizer plate which had taquitos, quesadilla and guacamole was actually the highlight of the meal. Main course of salmon had a sweet taste which no one cared for. Mexican platter with burrito, enchilada and taco was fair. Lemonade was very good. Caesar salad was average along with onion soup. Ok meal but i... More

I go to El Meson de Don Fernando everytime I go to Ensenada which is at least ones a year, I have been eating there for the past 4 or 5 years and they never disappoint me. The food is always very good (and I am one of the pickiest persons when it comes to food, cleanliness, ambiance and service.)... More

Maybe I'm spoiled because I live in Oaxaca, but I was disappointed with the food at this location (although, the price was much better than others on the same street offering very similar menus). The eggs were whisked with milk and flour, the beans are watered down and I believe lard was added to them. I had asked for a... More

Although all the meals are incliuded on a recent cruise, I took four additional relatives to this special luncheon as in Mexico one should eat real Mexican food. the food was delicious and the portions quite large. It was pleasant sitting on a sidewalk cafe in beautiful weather and enjoying an authentic lunch.

My friend and keep stopped here for breakfast. We both ordered chilaquiles. I had mine with green sauce and she order hers with red sauce. We also shared a side of pancakes. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced. I look forward to returning. Aside from the food and service they had a really clean and modern bathroom.

A couple friends and I tried this place and it was a big disappointment. The restaurant itself is very nice but the service wasn't great. The food had no flavor and it is overpriced for what they serve you. You can go anywhere else to try traditional mexican food for a lot cheaper and better taste.

I ordered the oatmeal come with an option of toast or papaya my husband ordered the shrimp omelette. The Shrimp omelette my husband very much enjoyed. The oatmeal was very plain and didn't come with any fixings I was really disappointed and the toast didn't come with butter or jelly.

If you're reading this review, you're probably either IN the tourist district of Ensenada, or you're planning a meal on your trip down to Ensenada. Simply put, this restaurant is a good choice. Now more detail. My wife and I live about 5 miles North, and come down to the tourist area on occasion, (usually because a friend came to... More
