We went here for lunch after a morning of fishing and time on Coronado. One of our friends ordered the chocolate clams and everyone couldn't stop talking about them days later. My husband and I split the seafood in béchamel with rice and the garlic chicken. The seafood was excellent, the chicken was just okay, but I should have known... More

Two other couples and my husband and myself, rented a boat from a captain named Francisco. He is well known in town you can just ask around and someone will be able to tell you where he lives. He took us on a successful fishing trip and then to Coronado Island. Recommend you bring your own beer to Coronado; there... More

By all accounts this is a must do when in Loreto! Getting there sounds simple, but when you venture out on that gravel goat trail devoid of signs and directions, it is easy to question the wisdom of the advice given. But persevere, stay on the path, eventually you will arrive there! Or get hopelessly lost! Better signage would be... More

Go by small boat (lots of opportunities to hire at the pier) or take the drive ( pay attention to the signs on the partially unpaved road.) Don't miss this restaurant!!! The small restaurant is on the water, just in front of the owners' home. They are a charming couple, he a great host, she an amazing chef. The choices... More

My wife and I decided to try La Picazon for the first time this October while we were in Loreto BCS. I have to say that the drive out to the restaurant was a bit questionable but you just have to keep going because its certainly worth it. The view of the Sea of Cortez, the service and the food... Our panga driver to Isla Coronado recommended we try this place and we were not disappointed. The drive is a bit challenging but worthwhile. When we arrived to La picazón we were greeted by a nice man and his wife. Piña Coladas were delicious and strong. The almejas gratinadas were my favorite. We also enjoyed a fish prepared garlic style.... More

We drove out a hot dusty road to this oasis. We were greeted by two sweet wieners dogs and cervezas and margaritas 1 And excellent seafood. The coconut shrimp is the best. And we had freshly caught fish with garlic & butter. You can swim and snorkel on the beach. Very gracious owner.

If you are brave enough to take the "road" all the way out, La Picazon is the treasure waiting for you at the end of your harrowing journey! The food is amazing and you can enjoy a leisurely meal while taking in the gorgeous views of Coronado Island. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed but the food is gourmet! An... More
