I came with friends and shared an outstanding beachside meal. We shared an outstanding guacamole appetizer. Next we each had our own dishes -- a delicious mixed ceviche, a tasty shrimp brochette and an amazing Red Snapper plate. Hot dishes came with Mexican rice and...salad. Drinks here were lovely. Portions were large; service was fine; atmosphere was great and the prices were low. All of us ate for about $70USD including drinks and tip. I highly recommend dining here.More

They have valet parking ($50 pesos). The atmosphere of the restaurant was great & it’s right on the beach. The food was ok (not great, but not bad). They didn’t have a lot to choose from for kids.

The beers were cold and the food was pretty decent. My wife did not like her dish but didn't say a word. In a very short time they came over and insisted on getting her something else. This never happens, and they truly impressed us....We ran out of time but will be back again. I enjoyed my meal!More

An offspring from the one downtown Acapulco, this is a great place to enjoy seafood and a beer while watching the beach at Hornos. Good service and quick. Sometimes when there is music it can become a bit loud and noisy, specially on holy days....Our usual stop every visitMore

garlic mojara is usually what several in our party order. No one was overly impressed. shrimp done in several different styles: again, pretty average. Assorted other items ordered as well. This USED TO BE a safe choice, years ago. Especially their other locations near downtown,...which we've also been visiting numerous times over the past 20 years. But no need to travel to that sketchy area, since those locations are no better than this one. The prices are very slightly higher at this location. The kids took over these restaurants and seem to have done nothing to maintain the high standing developed over the years by their father.More

A must visit while in Acapulco. The shrimps are just amazing, the aguachile is great and the Mojarra al mojo was delicious. Maybe it's not the fanciest place in town but the prices are resanoable and the food is always awesome.

Really good selection of local foods. Good prices. This place is raised off the sand a couple of feet, and the edges are walled/fenced, so beach vendors cannot wander through. But the sand, trees, and ocean are right there in view. At times there is...a local live band that is a nice volume. Not loud club music. 2015 they were not doing pozole thursdays.More

3 different locations. We liked the ones in the Zolcalo area the best. There is also one on the Costera.

Found this place several years ago, was reccommended by our taxi driver and worth the trip. The food is mainly fish, ceviche and local fare, but always fresh and the beer is reasonable also. Great casual afternoon stop.

Half the menu was not available. The seafood was questionable. My salad (shredded lettuce and 2 over-ripe cucumber slices) had no dressing option so I squeezed a green orange slice for flavor... My family got in a fight over the problems and I felt ill...the rest of the night. They ruined my supper too.More

Prior to our recent trip to Acapulco, I asked a coworker who is a native of that beautiful seaport where do locals go to enjoy a special meal of fish and seafood, not where tourists go. She answered "Amigo Miguel" without hesitation. We visited Amigo...Miguel on the main avenue (Costera Miguel Aleman) close to downtown but still right on the beach, in a part of the bay less frequented by international visitors. I and my wife were there for dinner and found that indeed the local foo was quite good. We had seafood cocktails, tostadas (oven-dried tortillas covered with shrimp, octopus or fish marinated in lemon juice and spices ceviche style), I had a shrimp skewer and my wife had a whole fried fish. The food quality did not disappoint us at all, it was unpretentious, very traditional and popular. The service was good and friendly, The decoration of the place a bit rustic. All guests were locals, mostly families or groups of young friends. Overall we were very pleased with the experience. It permitted to go on our own out of the tourist attractions. The prices were very accessible.More

We first went to the original "El Amigo Miguel" (#1) (near the Zocalo) 7 years ago. (There are 3 restaurants: #1 and #2 are across the street from each other a couple of blocks from the Zocalo -- go up the street from the Pemex...gas station on the Costera ; #3 is on the Costera right on the beach). We concluded at that time that our friend had chosen the best dish -- a filet of fish stuffed with seafood "a la Miguel". We've been wanting to go back for that entrée and finally made it this year. It was so good -- lots of seafood and covered with a slightly hot sauce. Another friend, who doesn't like spicy, had the shrimp brochette and really enjoyed that. We also had seafood tamales as an appetizer. We really enjoyed our evening. The view of Bay and beach was lovely; the service was great, and the food was delicious. Definitely a keeper on our list of favorite restaurants in Acapulco!More
