No, all the tables aren't wiped down all the time, but this is a wonderful little family owned outdoor restaurant in the sand on the beach, not El Cid or a Four Seasons. Overlook the small stuff and get what you came for...great food at good prices. Breakfast, lunch and dinner; the best pizza-oven-cooked pizza in Mazatlan; sea food, Mexican... More

After reading all the negative comments posted here I have begun to believe that the other reviewers must have eaten in a different Benji's! After living on the Isla for more than 3 years I have eaten in all the available restaurants here. Benji's is one of my favorites!! Run by a MEXICAN family all of the meals are exceptionally... I usually don't like to give bad reviews but this place was filthy and the service was not good at all. I love to sit and drink ice cold beer, eat, relax, and enjoy the scenery. I've read on the forums how delicious this place was. Well, I've never been more disappointed in "any" place in Mexico in my life.... More

My wife and I have been wanting to check this place out for years because of the great reviews. We arrived on December 17 at about 2pm and the place was empty except for the employees. We were invited to sit anywhere. We walked around looking for a chair that wasn't filthy and could not find any so they watched... More

Here is the best place for people who love the rustic mexican atomosphere.... and there is the wonderful clear sea where we could snorkel and saw lots of beautiful fish !!!!!! It was our last day at Mazatlan and my boyfriend had lost his watch in the hotel and was really sad but this place made us so happy after... More

There is a reason that boaters have adopted Benji's as the place to anchor and get their land legs back in shape. From help in finding a boat part to having someone run for a big bag of ice the PB blended family is willing to go the extra mile. Eli has excellent Spanish/English skills. Just like art is in... If you want somewhere to relax and enjoy some fantastic food this is the place to spend some time. Off the beaten track and low key, this is a favourite for my family. No hustle and bustle, just chilled and friendly. Thanks Eli and Anita for the great food, and atmosphere - and for treating us all like family. Hope... More

If only Trip Advisor allowed zero stars or even negative stars I would use that option here. We took a cruise on the Schooner Patricia Belle (review to come) and they stranded us for 3 hours at Pizza Benji's. As it turns out it is owned by their son. We have been to the other side of Stone Island in... More
