Nice view, very, very slow service. Taxis not fond of going there. Was there on a Saturday night. Arrived 6:10 and got food at 8:30. Food was fair. Crab Enchiladas were very spicy. Coconut Shrimp was good. Forgot the fries. Cute dogs and cats, very friendly.

During the day, I asked two cab drivers how much they would charge to Las Carmelitas. One said 160 pesos and the other one 100. The taxis we actually used charged us 150 up and 175 down. Some of the food was good, but some wasn't at all. The staff was not up to standards for such an EXPENSIVE restaurant.... More

Recommended by travelers next to us on the beach, we adventured up there for dinner at sunset. Had a good cab driver fortunately as it's a rough road there. Found it cash only when we got there but had enough to enjoy their delicious coconut shrimp and Caesar salad and glass of wine. The upper level was closed for the... More

The taxi ride up was interesting with a nice driver who spoke good English. Honestly, it was SO high that you somewhat lost the perspective of PV, the beaches and how lovely it is. I ordered lobster stuffed chicken breast which came with some cold rice. The chicken breast seemed to have had severe freezer burn, and then microwaved until... More

This restaurant by far has the best view in Puerto Vallarta. The owner Peter is most gracious and Jorge our waiter was great. We had a party of 8 on a Friday so service was a tiny bit slow but to be expected. The road up has been much improved since our last visit ten years ago and is served... More

Very good friends insisted this was a must see experience in PV. Have to say that after a little searching and a little excitement driving myself up the one lane cobblestone trail, they were 100% on the money.. when you get there you are treated to a surprisingly special place. There are farm animals running around with a rooster that... More

The view is the best you can get. The road to it needs alittle work. Also it was by word of mouth that we found out about this gem. The food was great. Not over priced nor were the drinks. will go up there again ..

We went for dinner with a friend that had been before otherwise would not have know about this restaurant. The road up is quite crazy but the view and experience were worth the drive. Food was good but the experience and view were better. Highly recommend.

Las Carmelitas is the best place in Puerto Vallarta to witness awe inspiring sunsets and enjoy a satisfying and delicious meal. Perched on top of a 1000 foot ridge of the Sierras above Puerto Vallarta, it provides an unparalleled 270 degree vista of the city below, Banderas Bay and the towns and villages on the shore and a view of... Was a little skeptical of this place after reading some reviews but decided on going for the view if anything else. We took a cab up to the top and the driver waited 2 hours while we ate and then drove us back to our resort. Cost was $1000 pesos (very reasonable $55 US). There were only 5 other people... More
